mana best banding ngan analog?
tengok pilihan lagu.

kenapa dan faedahnya ada multiefek?
murah dan dapat belajar kenal dan mengode bunyi-bunyi dalam kategori modulation.

kekurangan yang selalu diperdebatkan?
tone yang kurang organik. bukan kepada pendengar tetapi kepada yang
mengunakkannya.

utk live perform ni,
ko nak guna multieffect bleh..
nak guna analog pedal bleh..
nak guna straight jack ke amp pun bleh..
xde hal bro.. aslkan, ko pndi n mampu cri tone yg ko nak..
sometimes, multieffect yg mahal pun, klu live tu guna certain amp yg xmsk tone dia dgn gadget, agak2 dpt x sound yg ko nak tu?
utk live perform, aku sendiri pki multieffect murah.. AX5G je..
cuma xnafikan.. mcm ME yg mahal2 ni, pencarian sound dia lbh detail..
bdk2 lain aku tgk smpi bawak Big Muff, Metal Muff, ME papan besar tu..
peh...~ so, mcm ni la bro, ko bleh guna apa je ME yg ko nak.. xkisah la brand apa.. tp, make sure ko mmg da hafal sound yg ko nak,
n ko da hafal 95%-100% mcm mana nak setting effect ko..
lain amp, lain sound kan?? mmg kt da setting sound best2 kat rumah..
last2 smpi stage, sound lari la, jd bunyi besi la, mcm2 prob..
rupanya, da smpi kat atas stage yg lain amp tu, kt kena adjust sikit..

itu je.. macam aku sometime price doesnt matter as long apa yg aku invest tuh dapat kan sound yg aku nak.

yg kedua permudah kan kerja aku bila aku nak main on stage dgn lagu lagu band aku. aswell kalau dah lagu sendiri mesti la tau sound sendiri macam mana kan.

bagi aku..aku tak minat mfx nih bukan sbb dia tak best. cuma aku nih mamat yg simple, aku serabut kepala tgk button, knob knob byk sgt nih.. pening aku. plus lagu yg aku main pun simple, tak perlu kan fx fx yg byk, jadi aku guna analog je. sebijik dist, sebijik OD, dan booster pedal. itu je.

so ikut pada diri, macam dulu aku pakai pod x3 live, mmg puas hati, dia ada sound yg aku nak...cuma aku jual balik sbb aku rasa tak worth it if kalau aku beli mfx, tapi nak pakai satu sound je, baik aku beli single analog pedal. ringan nak bawa, tak serabut nak on off tekan itu ini.. Smile

so jgn dengar cakap org, experience kan diri sendiri Smile kalau rasa ok, pakai, tak ok, cari jalan lain Smile kalau passionate, invest duit, kalau nak ala kadar, beli yg termampu. kalau skill jari jemari dah power, tanpa bantuan gadget pun dah sedap, takyah beli, cucuk terus kat amp.

aku just bagi tau awal awal je, sbb aku nyampah kalau jap lagi ada org cuba kasi advise "jari jemari yg penting, pakai apa pun sedap"

and how you define good in music instrument playing? unstoppable speed scaling technics or slow twinkle2 little star that can put u on sleep?

it might good for you but maybe not for other and it might crap for you but it not crap for other.


if you a good player with a crap gear, why the result is good if crap in it? why doesnt it produce crap out come? it is a crap gear right? so the gear dont crap, the crap is you. You the one who make the gear look crap, just because it doesnt suits you well.

a gear is a gear, gear just only do what the gear mean to do. if the gear is distortion, so it gave u distortion, it will never crap out to be reverb or delay or piano fx. so what a gear got to do with playing? u can play distortion with out a gear? SALUTE! you just make your self much easier than others.

gear never crap, no matter how cheap it is, you dont know how to handle it, you said it was crap, so who is the crap player? a player always know how to handle his gear. and a good player being good because of the gear he used, without gear, he aint no player, he just a dreamer. so dont take credit only for the player, the gear also deserve to earn a respect.

good + crap = still crap
crap + good = still crap
crap + crap = total crap
good + good = good

so dari mathematic kat atas tuh...you should know, what is mean by real better

we dont always live in a ideal world. yes, good+good is great, but now we are comparing between two non-ideal premises, i.e

a) crap player on good gears;
b) good player on crap gears

for both conditions, and on both conditions only, which one is more preferable premise (to posers, who only clever to value, doing not clever like me)? A, or B?


For me, I believe that music (and other musical related) is, and will always remain as an art. SUBJECTIVITY over objectivity. Its not a physical science. however, there are several other opinions by several other type of musician/player/poser/troo kvlt/etc.

This, will leading us to the core problem in this course: DEFINITION and TERMINOLOGY.
To conclude the argument (A or B), one need to define 'crap' and 'good', for both subjects 'player', and 'gears'. By this, there are two extreme approach that we tend to make, regarding this issue (or any other musical instruments discussions); technical, or art. Sound or signal. Techhniques or feelings.

Technical things is easily understandable (even there is subjectivity weighing in this definition). What is a crap gear? If OD gear cannot do OD-ing the signal, instead only noising the signal, is it can be considered as crap, or not? Technically, it is a crap. OD should do OD, not other things. That is why it is named OD.

So are true for defining 'crap' or 'good' player. What is a crap player? If he can compose a beautiful composition, yet horribly fail when setting gears, dont even know how to distinguish between OD and distortion, and not even know how to use pedals, is he a good, or crap player? For me, he is a great musician, great guitarist, but crap guitar player. But this IS my conclusion, not yours.)


Let us take one example. A OD gear that only add noise, nor OD-ing the signal; and a guitar player.

1. If the guitar player do not know even the slightest info about this 'OD' pedal. He just plug it, crank it, and yadda yadda that in the end "the sound is horrible, and unbearable to hear, but the improvisation is accepted anyway". Is he a good, or crap guitar player?

2. If the player know how to operate the pedal, which in the end "He create a beautiful, unique sound from this OD thing. Its not OD, its....something different, something special..yet the improvisation is crap". Is he a good, or crap guitar player?

Depending in what shoes you are wearing, there will be no right or wrong answer. Because music is an art. Subjective over objective.

well the reality still prevails..

fact: orang tak suka = crap..

lets take true bypass for an example..
some dont like buffer (or dont know how to use) says its crap..
some likes the tone coming from buffer says true bypass crap and lies..

some says ZOOM is crap.. but some like it
some says LINE6 is crap.. but still some like it..

so which side are you? haha
even the OD ada noise... some people still like it..
that my friends, the beautiful world of art..
