Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) would like to inform our Internet customers that we are currently experiencing network disruptions at one of our international peering routers in the United States (US).
Hence, some customers may have experienced some problems in accessing certain content hosted in the USA. TM has since diverted traffic away from the link and the problem seems to have resolved. In the meantime, TM will continue to monitor the network to ensure that customers experience uninterrupted service.
TM apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the disruption and would like to thank its customers for their understanding and patience during the affected period.
Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to email us at help@tm.com.my for TM fixed line and Streamyx customers and unifi@tm.com.my for UniFi customers.

ANNOUNCEMENT
INTERNET SERVICES DISRUPTION
Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) wishes to inform our customers that TM and its consortium members have identified that the earthquake occurred in Japan earlier today has affected Japan – US Cable Network (JUCN) and Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) cable networks linking Malaysia to The United States of America (USA) and Hong Kong (HK).
Customers using Internet services nationwide may experience some degree of service degradation such as slow browsing and high latency while accessing international websites hosted in the USA, Europe and North Asia. Customers using Virtual Private Network (VPN) and other critical business applications linked to USA, Europe and North Asia may also experience some level of service degradation. Meanwhile, to alleviate the problem, the traffic has been diverted and managed effectively to ease the situation.
We will make further announcements on the progress of the restoration works and TM apologizes for any inconvenience caused by the disruption. We would like to assure our customers that all necessary measures is being taken to restore the services as soon as possible.
We wish to thank our customers for their understanding and patience during the affected period. Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to email us at help@tm.com.my for TM fixed line and Streamyx customers and unifi@tm.com.my for UniFi customers.

ape yang ko nak donlod...
coverage tak menentukan kelajuan...
ia cuma dapat menentukan kestabilan dan respond in connection dari modem ko ke pemancar je... aka wireless signal...
kelajuan donlod tgk response time or ping dan juga bandwith...

hahahah dan korang pun mesti tahu juga yg 1Mbps tak sama dgn 1MBps
1MBps = 8Mbps
1MBps = 1000KBps
1Mbps = 1000kbps
which mean..
1MBps bahagi 8 = 0.125
maka nya
1Mbps = 0.125MBps = 125KBps
*MBps = Mega Byte Per Second
*Mbps = Mega bit Per Second
*KBps = Kilo Byte Per Second
*Kbps = Kilo bit Per Second
Jadi, banyak internet service provider akan guna kan terms Mbps dalam package service dia orang. Kalau korang pakai Streamyx 1Mbps, kalau korang tgk kat IDM korang top speed pun 120KBps itu adalah paling max korang patut dapat pun. Selain dari itu, website storage macam megaupload,hotfile,rapidshare etc etc , hanya bagi pada free user 30% of korang punya actual download speed dan hanya pemegang Premier account sahaja dapat full speed download dari download speed korang sendiri.
Speed nih tak mungkin korang dapat boost dari pc configuration atau tweak utk dapat more speed dari korang punya actual maximum as sebab kebanyakan broadband router atau modem kat rumah ada lah 2Mbps modem router. (Nowdays aku rasa dah start yg sell 4Mbps and more)
Factor kedua terutama penguna streamyx adalah kerana kat pizza box port dan jumper pada drop wire yg telah di set utk account korang (yg terletak pada tiang talifone dan box area kawasan korang) telah di set mengikut account yg korang subscribe. So no such thing as booster speed for streamyx, or else korang boleh condem kan sendiri NIC korang kerana over packet injection. Which mean kalau korang subscribe utk 1Mbps, kat jumper dan port dah mmg set 1.5Mbps.
Kenapa 1.5Mbps?? Sebab takut between distance drop wire ke pizza box mampu mempengaruhi speed broadband korang. Plus bandwith yg di supply utk area itu takut berat dan buat korang frequent disconnection atau high latency. Jadi derang saje set extra 500Kbps utk makesure korang nye speed still boleh sampai ke 1Mbps.
Normal minimum ping rate utk international gateway ada 200ms dan local 20ms.
Why saya punya download lambat? Kene tahu juga apa yg di download dan dari mana sumber download itu datang.
P2P download, last time sebelum aku di halau dari pejabat ehem ehem, mereka telah mula nak imply utk throttle P2P download speed, tapi sekarang aku tak tahu la, but if derang mmg dan imply, one of the factor why our P2P download drop even after port forwading pun still tak sampai kemuncak. Factor derang throttle P2P download adalah di sebab kan ada org yg bijak telah suck semua bandwith di area yg dia duduk, yg membuat kan port rosak dan org lain yg share box slow connection.
Internal wiring juga factor speed slow utk penguna fixed line cable wired. Internal wiring juga bukan di sediakan oleh ISP, tapi mmg dah di sedia ada kan oleh pengusaha yg yg membina rumah korang. Jgn terkejut, bende biasa.
Other device seperti fax machine, alarm system, cctv juga adalah 1 of the biggest factor why internet kita slow atau terus frequent disconnect. Punca dia mudah, sebab all this device share the same fixed line, some are realtime priority.
Banyak lagi kalau nak explain... tapi pakai UNIFI...mmg terbaik  cuma ada every month korang tak boleh exceed korang punya download rate..itu je
