(Sekali image broken link da...)
I dropped by Cash America while detouring from my usual route to the Salvation Army yesterday. They usually have pretty nice guitars aside those beaten up ones. I saw some pretty badass Kramers when I was in Austin, TX a while ago. And as I was browsing through the beaten up Squires and Peaveys the shop had for sale, this black body rosewood fingerboard Fender Jazz bass caught my eye. It caught my eyeballs when I looked at the $169 price tag on it. After slapping it a few times, the bass felt just right and I brought it straight to the counter.
I just checked the serial number online. It's from '94.
And I went home with a Jazz, wanting to play like Jaco Pastorius... or Geddy Lee as long as I don't sing like him. Aah the wonders of pawn shops.

Hi guys, I'm the 'someone I know' that kudo stated. Behold, the 1976 J-Bass is on the right, neck was ok and bought for RM 1k at Cash Converter AMpang. It was in worse condition than this, had it reshellaced, now plays like a beauty The left one is a 1993 J-Bass, both MIA Fenders
Sudah ada J-Bass macam John Paul Jones (walaupun tak sama colour), duit je takde kalau tak aku dah sebat satu Maple-Neck P-Bass macam idola ku John Entwistle
