whoa betul ke V-Amp tu better than POD?! Musykil nih, barang murah lebih power dari barang mahal! By the way, siapa authorised dealer utk Behringer kat Mesia nih? Kat mana ko beli menatang tu? Maybe bende tu yg membezakan kualiti sound gitar kau dengan sound gitar aku...

Oit Ridzi, takkan terbakar kot? POD ain't got no ballz?!! hahaha.. jadi batu api lak aku nih!

I wouldn't say the V-amp is inferior or vice versa... I feel it depends on taste... you heard my sound...it has balls the size of Jupiter!!

aiseh..this topic has been beaten to death in many forums la.........(pod vs behringer vs tube vs solid state vs etc).
If u ask me,tone is a subjective matter.
n e way...I love my old pod 1.4 and my guitars.....rock on!

-just stating my mind-

the 1.4 tone is noisy.... pastu changing between patches using the floorboard/footcontroller terlalu banya latency... I wonder if this doesn't annoy you when you play live....

Aku tanya mamat kerja kat situ "Is this The Guitar Store?" ... mamat tu jawab "Yes, this is the only guitar store around here. We got lots of guitars to choose from.. bla, bla, bla.."..

Penat aku try explain yg aku tgh carik kedai TGS tu, dia pon tak paham2 pas tu aku blah laa... hahahaha... mangkok ayon betul!

hello..i'm a newbie with this site, so just bare with me.
i'm ayi, but my 2 other band mates would probably be using the same username.
i am, for a want of a better title, the 'recording engineer' for my band super fajitas(only by default cos the rest of my band are lazy asses). i recorded our last recording on my tascam 788 8-track HD recorder, Soundcraft Spirit Folio mixer (acted as sub-mixer for drum tracks)a 2 channel phantom power supply, and used Shen's(my bassist) old home theatre amp&speakers for monitoring.
i haven't dared to try computer software recording cos the usb controllers and digital mixers are still a bomb, and i haven't got a decent PC in malaysia. i do have a decent mic colllection though- AKG C1000s (+home made pop filter from an old stringless badminton racquet with tights pulled over it), AKG C418pp, 2xSM57(bare neccessity for any studio i think), SM58 and an AKG D60. I'm hoping to get a better vox mic, maybe an AKG C3000 or something. Turnkey and Digital Village rule!!

i got a question for u cyber-recorder dudes.
okay, for example u use an 8 track mixer to record 8 drum mics simultaneously, as u would do to get a decent drum sound. ok then u obviously route your mixer to your sound card and record the tracks on a recording software like cubase or protools or something.
my question is, would the original 8 drum tracks be recorded onto just 2 tracks(stereo L&R) or would they be on 8 seperate tracks? (ie. so u could like change the levels of all 8 tracks differently when u mix it?)
please enlighten me.
Thanx!

Depending on the out put from your mixer... if your mixer has 8 physical outputs....and connected to 8 inputs on you PC (which I very much doubt it) then it will be recorded on seperate tracks...

But I am assuming you are connecting your mixers L/R outputs directly to your PC...so the result is that you will get a stereo track. (the stereo field and the balance of sounds will be determined on how you set the panning on the mixer)

In a nutshell you will need seperate inputs/outputs to achieve track separation. Which means you will need a soundcard with multiple inputs like the M-Audio Delta 44 or the M-Audio Delta 66

But dont you have an 8 track recorder??...just connect the mics to the inputs and record away!! Although you will have to bounce the tracks in the end
