Basically jazz/fusion tunes played in a metal scenario...the notes and chords are jazz...but may be played with overdriven guitars, double pedal drums etc. etc. Good examples are Greg Howe and Tony McAlpine's latest few albums(I can't remember the titles). Another good example is Shaun Baxter's album, titled Jazz Metal...I don't think this is available in Malaysia, since it was almost impossible to find even in the UK itself. Shaun Baxter is the head of Rock Guitar Dept. in GIT UK...I met him a few times in the UK because I almost enrolled into GIT back then...but in the end I didn't because I just remembered that I was still in medical school! Heh heh!  |

Dillinger Escape Plan plays a fusion of metal and jazz..... something i would love to do in the future....but need to find a good jazz drummer that wants to play metal lahhhhh..

Macam ni....fusion tu maknanya 'gabungan'... in terms of music, fusion ni maksudnya gabungan 2 atau lebih style music...
