Cubase aku takleh run kat aku punya PC... first time install, tah silap kat mane ntah, tersalah crack, terus tak leh run! So, back to my old Vegas Pro 4.0, still works like a charm!
Moral: Beli lah software yg ori (kalau anda kaya)...

Ko nye Cubase pirate gak ke? Aku punya, belum sempat nak klik apa2 dah kluar mesej "illegal operation"!
Tak kisah ko pakai software ape, ikut keserasian ngko la... kalau kau dah biasa pakai cool edit, terus kan je la buat ape nak tukar2 lagi.. bikin serabut je nak explore bende baru...

ho oh ler.. pirate ler apa lagi.
betul gak tu.
lagi pun aku still rasa cam.. kalau aku tak betul2 belajar mixing and all. software gempak camner pun takleh bantu aku hehe. At the moment aku still confused dengan mana frequency range yg elok di potong and mana yg tak. kalau ikut telinga aku ni.. semua aku nak pakai 
slow2 la kan...

Aku tengok studio korang semua dahsyst dahsyat  , gerun aku tengok 
but let me post the stuffs in my lo-fi recording studio ala ToeRag makan Belacan studios in Sg. Ramal Kajang. It's simple, but we're looking for that Lo-Fi sound, pasal we're a Lo-Fi band, currently recording songs for our next demo.
This is my studio setup
PC - Pentium II donno berapa MB
Software - Cakewalk 2004
Hardware - ??? Yamaha NE-1 Parametric Equalizer for Bass Recording
Microphone - Mic Phillips available at Carrefour Sri Petaling (RM 30 I think) with a a Guitar Stand used as Mic Stand
Monitors - early 90s Aiwa Double Cassete Track Mini Compo
Ambiance contributor - Curtain tebal and Jati (Teak) wooden parquet floors   & the thought of parents balik Kampung on Saturday, so kalau bising diorang tak marah keh keh keh keh 
Guitars - Epiphone Sheraton, Epiphone Firebird with Mini Humbuckers, Danelectro DC-2 with lipstick pickups (sama macam Jimmy Page pakai dalam Led Zeppelin DVD for White Summer), Ovation Semi-Acoustic, Squier Strat Bullet Series, EPiphone Les Paul
Bass - 1976 Fender J-Bass, 1993 Fender J-Bass, Charvel Fusion 4 Bass with Active electronics
Effects - Electro Harmonix Big Muff Pi NYC reissue, Marshall Jackhammer, Boss OS-2 Overdrive/Distortion, 80's Ibanez TS-9 Tubescreamer, Asama Engineering unknown Japanese Distortion, 80's Boss CE-2 chorus, 80's Ibanez DL-10 delay, Dunlop WahWah, Korg AX1G Multi Effects.
Amplifiers - Marshall 30-watt amp (Made in India ni), Park 30-watt Amp, Park 10-Watt amp (gonna make Park Triple stack lepas ni keh keh keh) & Prince 30-watt Bass Amp
Drums - CB Percussions 5 piece drum kit with Paiste Crash & Paise Ride cymbals, IKEA stool for drumthrone.
Note: Drums recorded with only one Phillips mic set less than 5 metres in front of kit, but with additional ambiance (please refer above)
Thats my setup = Lo-Fi and HISS is good hehehehehehehe |

AKG Mikes - Focusrite Mike Preamp.
Efects- Emu modualtor, Electix Vocoder, Electrix Mo-fx, Alesis midiverb, and a couple of others.
Alesis powered monitor ones
A couple of turn tables and a mackie 16channel and pioneer dj mixer
somethin like that -but all not midi - midi is boring - must effect the sound after recordin - crap. Fizikal sounds in the protools better to manipulate. |

If you are referring to the standard MIDI sounds on the GS Wavetable...I could agree with you. But MIDI is not boring to me...all my drumtracks are triggered using the MIDI protocol...does it sound boring to you??

salam,
wei apasal dari mula aku baca tak der orang mention pasal mic pon. Banyak home recording article aku baca kat net semua cakap mic penting selain dari soundcard dan software. Kalu ikot logic pon memang la penting pasal mic tu yang tangkap sound masuk pc. korang semua jenis direct ker ( cucuk kat mixer / sound card )? aku dah try dah sebelum ni. tapi ampeh. Ada tak sapa2 ble rekemen mic murah tapi ada kualiti.
Pasal soundcard M-Audio Revolution 7.1 best bagi budget user. Harga kat ipoh ni kalo tak silap aku dalam 700+-. Gabung dengan NForce2 punyer PC mainboards yang ada audio controller, pheh... terbang beb. Review pasal benda ni ada dalam CHIP magazine 1 atau 2 bulan lepas.
Cabling pun penting jugak. pakai cable singggit....abis la. Aku penah try. Sound jadi sebu giler. tukar pakai cable yang aku buat sendiri..baru ada naik sket (jernih) sound. Tiap2 cale ada carekter sendiri. Macam aku cable yang aku buat tu rasa dah ngam ngan tlinga aku...
