As long as you have good software engineering skills and good fundamentalls in algorithmic design, what language you deploy in should be trivial. Just need to RTFM (read the fucking manual)
Learning a new language is generally acquiring new syntax and figuring out whether your desired functionality has been incorporated/prebuilt or if you need to construct from primitives.
Came in from FORTRAN 77 (on punch cards), went to interpretive BASIC, PASCAL, Java, some C++ then VB.
FYI, I only code in VB and VBA these days, manage to get most of the shit I need from that.
Lets have a chat when we meet up next. |

study sendiri jek Siang. u don't need a degree for every single thing hehe. lagi pun.. programming ni.. for every new language.. just kena tau dia punya syntax and build in functions saja.. lain2 lebih kurang sama saja.. macam abang Rafil cakap tu. ......hehe Fortran generation. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

Lyrics modified for that special someone.
I know u come to this forum to check on me.
I met you on your birthday, when the day seemed weird
you have bad fashion and thinks you're hair is really cool
Your face is shape like an apricot
You had one eye on the mirror as you watched yourself gavotte
And all the girls dreamed that they'd be your partner
They'd be your partner, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?
You had me months ago when I was still quite naive
Well you said that we made such a pretty pair
And that you would never leave
But you gave away the things you loved and one of them was me
I had some dreams, they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?
I had some dreams they were clouds in my coffee
Clouds in my coffee, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?
Well I hear you were in ROTTW expose and u naturally was famous
But ur hair still remains like a mad aunty in a cheap sale
To see the total eclipse of the sun
Well you're where you should be all the time
And when you're not you're with
Some underworld lwanker or the dog of a mainstream band
dog of a mainstream band, and...
You're so vain, you probably think this song is about you
You're so vain, I'll bet you think this song is about you
Don't you? don't you?
so siang, as i said, when people are like manure and irritate ur life. just sit back have a smoke and write lyrics.... laughter _________________ "Thus let my enemy's blood be spilled

No need to study. Just Hack.
The MS intellisense function reduces a lot of syntax/object hierarchy memorization.
If that fails, there's F1 help with examples.
If that fails, there's a shit load of books & manuals.
If that fails, there's the MSDeveloper Network Knowledge Base.
If that fails, I generally call up Microsoft support, yell at them for half and hour, regroup then devise a workaround.
FYI I haven't gotten any viable solutions from MS Support but after I yell at them, I get inspired to figure out workarounds. They're very polite and take abuse quite well.
BTW, I only started dickin' around bject oriented programming in my early 30's prior to that it was all procedural shit and data structures.
So it's never too late to shift your paradigms. All you need is a dark room, strong coffee and lots of sugar candy (I prefer Kopiko) for a coding rush. |

For microcontrollers, assembler or some variant. I think Paul Millot's familiar with that. |
