Just a heads up, if anyone is on a lan with a few computers might wanna give this a go.
Quote: | * Unique VST over LAN solution: - Reduces DAW CPU load. - Provides dedicated terminal for FX. - Prevents loss of data when FX crashes.
* Full host integration: - FX parameters saved in the host song/project file. - Host automation support. - Audio streams to host mixer.
* Instant remote/local mode switch.
* No jitter.
* Small and constant latency.
* Automatic and manual latency adjustment.
* Sample accurate mode enabled.
* Live performance enabled.
* VST 2 support.
* Support of multi-input and multi-output FX and instruments.
* UDP and TCP support.
|
I only have access to 2-3 computers at the moment to test this with, but when I get the results I will post it up, I heard the latest version has latency issues but I'm gonna give it a go anyways, might be a big help since I run an old computer and anything that helps spread resources in a cluster is always a welcome addition.

bout the FX teleport thingy. tried last night with 2 PCs. 1 Master and 1 slave. seems to work fine. but yeah u have to go to your slave to tweak your VST/VSti settings. Can't seem to load it onto the Master.
setting up is very simple (provided that u know how to setup a small home network).
have no problem with latency at the moment.
I like the way it works without having to install another soundcard on your slave. no additional cables. all you need is your LAN(cau) _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

yeah man. the LAN(cau) is very usefull eh?
you have to install FX teleport on both PC. the master & the slave. and you have to install the VST/Vsti on both PC as well. after you install everything, the Master will detect your Slave's VSTs and you can load it from the Master plugin list.
you feed your signal to the master though. not at your Slave. I don't think we even need a soundcard at all on the slave.
try it out man. I'm running and old 500mhz celeron and load up all my amplitubes there. and my cpu usage on the master just dropped down significantly. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |
