1.) I have pearl exr, but need advice on drumheads
should I go for remo ebony pinstripe for toms & evans emad on kick bass ? I'm more to metal/grunge things
2.) I have to remove the drum resonance( the lower head drum head) as its suck to play with the ori drumhead. is this a normal practice ?

the head just nothing...tunning is important...different brand have different type of building the heads...have different material...and different characteristic...hit it until totally cannot be use than get a new one...the manufacture won't build thier drum with a "suck" head... _________________ In music I Speak, In beating I Expressed |

hanhn
thank you for your reply
I have change to remo ambassador for toms & remo coated pinstripe for kick bass
I do not agree with you that "the head are just nothing"
different types of heads produced different tones
the thickness, coated or clear, multiply etc.
when i change, its totally different
the manufacturer in my case a bentley distributor opted pearl protone - low cost, maybe good for other but not for me, gretch drums I saw are using remo and off cource the higher range would definately using a good expensive drumhead. different musicians want they own specific tone thats why we have types of drumheads

the head is just nothing? why they bother make different type of heads? if head is just nothing, then every manufacturer just make one type of head and it is enough. |

I mean the brand not the model...yes, coated-clear heads give different tune...I just telling that choosing brand head is nothing...you buy evan and remo clear head...its the same, Good tuning used to take years of experience and tuning each drum often felt like it took years.

I'm planning to buy a DW5000 which cost about RM1990 at JS MUSIC Shop. DW9000 is much more expensive,RM2850. Im wondering how much DW twin pedals in Singapore cost since im going back to Singapore celebrating Hari Raya. If it cheaper, i rather buy it there. I've contacted Swee Lee Music in Singapore, they said they dont sell DW products. Again , im wondering where shall i get my pedal in Singapore. Anyone?. anyone who familiar with music intrument shops around Singapore?... Plz tell me. Thank You. _________________ Anjakan Paradigma Haluan Kiri. |
