i vote the 1st mix dude..
the 2nd mix sounds rather muddy here...and lack of "energy"?
agree with ery that the 1st mix the guitars is loud...
did u compress the overall track for test mix 2?i'm guessing it is too compress(kalau takde compress...sorry la.. )

| mix 1...if only its just fader differences. Theres some upper-low frequency buildups in both mixes with the guitars which is bit more prominent in mix 2. Could be the bass guitar..cant tell. |

Actually there is no bass guitar hahaha... on Test Mix 1, I used a dual band compressor called Endorphine, seems to bring out the natural harmonics of the guitars...
But to be honest im getting sick of the sound of the EMG... It seems to be too one-dimensional and any attempt to alter the tone fails.
need to get a new guitar soon.
Well spotted Okta, the riff is similar to LP's Last Train Home... i didn't realize that until you mentioned it...ah shit on a shingle...

aku taknak jual gitar aku tuhhh...too much sentimental value... but I am getting either a Fender Strat or a Tele by the looks of it...
i have been trying a few and i am really digging the way it sounds... especially after listening to Incubus's "Make A Move" The guitar tone on that track is awesomely sexy!!!! |
