Guys need some helps here.

What kind of cables do I need in order to have a stereo signal sent from the Crate Powerblock to a mixer board.

It has an XLR balanced out similar to most DI box. Do i need an XLR to Y-cable 1/4" or anything like that?

I was also informed that mixers usually have 1/4" mono input is that correct?

thank you Smile

Not too sure if the XLR out on the amp can actually send out stereo signal, but an XLR to Y-cable 1/4" can do the trick. Most modern mixers usually have at least 2 stereo channels that u can use, but even if u dont, just use 2 channels on the board for ur stereo all ur setup...

Cheers... Cool

Thank you dufresne that's very helpful Smile

So I imagine most common mixer board only have 1/4" type input right?
Now I wonder why we need XLR jacks anyway when in the end we use the 1/4" to the mixer. hurm..

Most mixers will have 2 types of input, XLR & also 1/4". IMHO, it gives u a lot options in terms of connectivity. U can use balanced or unbalanced input, useful for live or studio environment. Also sometimes the preamp on the mixer has good quality sound. If the preamp is only on 1 of the inputs, ppl would generally use that. These features r available on all non stereo channels. Of course it would depend on the make/model...

Cheers... Cool

hehe you're right tapi actually camni citenye.
Aku nak bwk pegi gig but failed to convince the organizer, so I had to find another way around. The one I'm using now was bought from g66.eu, €499.00.
I think if you buy straight from atomic he can send it to you at about the same cost.

Do you use modeler too?

Nak bwk pegi gig but failed to convince the organizer? Confused
Do u mean the organizer wasnt convinced the amp was good/loud/big enuff to use for the gig?
Or do u mean the organizer actually opposed u off bringing ur own amp? Shocked

Not that bad la price dia. Kalo shipping skali pon ok, provided kalo dah ade modeller la. Maybe exchanged rate ok kot, hehe.... Twisted Evil

I use a rack system, but i've used modellers before, a lot for recording. What do u got?

Cheers... Cool

Bit of both I guess Laughing . The idea was to share the amp with the rest of other bands. Since everyone will be playing covers for the night I thought it was a good idea. There's no way you can afford to pack/hire mesa, vox ac30, jcm800, blackface, plexi and more during a single session hehe.

Or maybe that sounds too good to be true.. hehehe whaddaya think?

I use PODxtl

Whoa...very generous. Ure probably the few guitarist that is willing to share ur amp with other bands. I know a few ppl who wouldnt even let their bandmates use their stuffs on stage, usually is not about stinginess or anything, its just that they're so afraid that if other ppl use their stuff it might broke down, they dont like ppl to take the responsibility. Its a noble idea if u want to let ppl use ur amp, & from an organizers pov, it would solve lots of problems. Its kinda hard to understand why they did what they did...

Xt Live huh...So u dont use the template?

Cheers... Cool
