get the ones before 80s, especially lawsuits....you won't regret, may it be tokai or greco. my preference is more greco of course...tokai srv endorse. greco (fujien gakki, if not mistaken) became fender japan and the producer of vintage reissue fender guitars somewhere in the mid 80s, they are too accurate that fender has to put a stop to it! minor adjustment were made to deferenciate fender jap and usa. if you so happens to grab 1 (i mean greco or 85/86 fender japan reissue, beli. ada word FENDER on the neck plate), just change the electronics, poof! hensem! Another killer is squire JV series, just before fender japan. it's made in japan 1 to 1 copy of the originals except for the electronics and some minor parts. grab these killer guitars...
