hi...

i've been using Sonic Foundry Vegas Pro as a multitrack sequencer to produce music since the late 90's... and i bet that Vegas Pro is no longer available in the market today! So i don't wanna be stuck in the 90's anymore, i wanna explore new technologies (since my company provided me with this cool notebook with 1.86GHz Intel Core Duo processor + 1GB DDR2 RAM!). So please help me out in making the right desicion..

so which application do you use to mix or produce music? what version do you prefer? any special feature of your favourite app compare to the others?

lets hear it...

p/s: if you don't know how to "promote" the product you're using, u can just simply gimme link to a video tutorial or something.. that would be great!

I've been using nuendo for few years. Tried out some other stuff like ableton and sonar. just couldn't get use to them. (sign of old age Razz)

they still do have new vegas and i've met ppl who like it a lot.

since the very first day i involved in home recording, i've been using cakewalk stuffs. i started using cakewalk guitar pro 2, then i changed to cakewalk sonar 4. sonar 4 is good enough for me, while sonar 5 and 6 are too complicated, though they have great features.

2) mana ko jumpa latest Vegas Pro? aku google kat net tak jumpa pon!

apa limitation Cubase LE compare to SX edition? aku ada LE (bundled with Zoom G2.1u)... dah install tapi mcm susah nak guna je..

Mervin,
hang pakai Sonar eh? hmm nak kena try ni.. ehhe aku ikt je apa style yg ko guna!

aku ada try Fruity Loops Studio 7 utk buat drum track... senang jugak la, tapi tak beberapa mahir nak guna features lain.. banyak giler, pening kepala...!

aku 1st dulu pakai cakewalk.

pastu lepas reti pakai aku beralih minat buat flash lessonware hehe.

couple of years after that, aku jumpa i-bands nih. berkenalan la ngan lahanat2 dalam ni.. yg sorang tu record sound dah macam Meshuggah.. aku berminat la nak tau setup dia..

maka mencubalah Nuendo..(walapun bukan pasal ni yg sound dia jadi cam meshuggah tu) and sampai skrg lekat. aku try yg lain..macam sonar.. reason.. cam alamak lambat beno nak belajor ni. At the end aku cam malas ah nak cuba lelain..so decided to stick with nuendo saja.

at the moment semua mender yg aku nak buat...leh buat kat nuendo. so malas la nak gatal2 beralih angin plak kan. Unless ada multitrack yg bila dah record semua.. tekan satu button dia mix and master terus macam sound CD kat kedai.. tayah nak dengar2.. tekan jek...zuuupp terus jadik.. haa kalau ada camni baru aku tukar hehe.

ok tak zid.. menarik tak citer aku nih? miau

dengo citer korang membuatkan aku berminat nak xplore program multitrack sequencer yg lain. tp skarang ni mana nak cari semua tu? Lowyat-BB-Imbi dah clear. kalau nak dnload kat internet ada masalah sikit

dah try usya kat Summit USJ?
member aku kata sana line clear lagi...
try la tgk selagi stock masih ada / tak kena rush!
hahah..

anyway, aku nengok Cubase dgn Sonar ni lebih kurang sama je track features dia (graphic preentation-wise la).. so i guess kalau kita dah biasa dgn Cubase means kita boleh guna Sonar dgn selambe je.. betul ke?

masalahnya, Cubase pon aku tak reti pakai lagi hahaha... camne?

Mixing n everything else on cubase.
