Helo bro semua...
Nak tanya...apa string gauge yg sesuai ye kalau nak tune down gitar to B (B,E,A,D,G,B)....ala2 Carcass, In Flames...etc...any suggestion?

The general rule is the lower the tension the bigger the gauge, so it should be ok if you use 0.011, 0.012 or 0.013, but remember, the bigger the gauge the more difficult it is to bend.

if i remember this pointer correct correct correctly. 
sorry had to do that parody.
ok the pointer/what i read was, for each tune down, go up 1 and 2 sizes in gauge
1 gauge size for the plain strings and 2 gauge size for the wound strings.
meaning strings e, B, G go up 1 gauge size.
for D, A, E. it will be 2 gauge sizes.
i.e- if u use .010, .013, .017 for standard E tuning, go up 1 gauge size from that.
so it will be .011, .014, .018 for Standard D tuning.
but this is just a general rule.
it still comes down to the gauge size that you are comfortable playing.
try checking out what string gauges those bands you mentioned use.
use that as a gauge size 'starting point'. saves time and money.

ni mcm standard E tuning je, cuma ada low-B dan minus hi-E string...
so kalau aku, aku beli satu set standard gauge (.009 - .046)
tapi string yang .009 tu tak pakai...
start install from 2nd to 6th string (.011 - .046)...
then beli satu lagi string utk low B...
Gauge size depends la: .052 - .056
ikut keselesaan / ketahanan jari utk main gauge tebal..

lepas tu jgn lupa set intonation semula...
sbb size gauge dah berubah, so intonation confirm lari...
bridge pon nak kena set kasik tinggi skit dari normal...
utk elak fret buzzing... zzzzzz

Bro..but then mcm mana pulak dgn 3rd-string nanti? kalau ikut ur teori, the 4th string tu akan jadi 3rd string...ada tak suitable gauge for 3rd string without wound?

guage 10s ni ( regular slinky) habis low tuning apa ah? c tuning ok ka? ke d tuning je?  |
