Ini you kena dengar sendiri, tapi ingat..
Agathis is not a bad wood, it's still a solid tone wood.
But do not pay too much for a guitar made of agathis, because it is an easily available wood.
In some guitar brands, Agathis is marketed as mahogany since it's known as 'poor man's or asian mahogany'
Not a bad wood, but should not be expensive.
Best you check out the sound for yourself. At least agathis is harder than basswood. |

The Agathis tree is known by a variety of vernacular names in many parts of Malaysia. The native Kelabit call it “Tumu” but generally it is known as “Bindang” in Sarawak. It is called “Damar Minyak” in Peninsular Malaysia, “Manggilan” in Sabah and “Tulong” in Brunei. There are also a number of synonym botanical names for this tree species including Agathis alba, Foxw, and Agathis damara.

Kene tgk grade die jugak .. even mahogany itself pun ada banyak grade, AA laa, AAA la ... biasenye manufacture guitar tak bagi tau nih dan aku pun tak percaya die pakai semua grade sama on the same model ... die maybe tgk pada availability kayu tuh ... maybe ini jugak the reason why 1st batch on the same model lagi sedap .. model awal2 tuh pakai grade tinggi sikit laaa kott...
