hello to all forum members,
i'm quite new here, tapi malu bertanya sesat jalan lak..
i recently painted my guitar and during the process took the licenced floyd rose out. once finished i put it back on, restringed...but immediately i noticed half of the guitar sustain was gone. could anyone give me any idea as what may had gone wrong? bantuan anda dialu-alukan....

- masa u paint the guitar.
- aper part2 lain u cabut.
- sebab sustain ne bukan letak kat bridge jer.
- benda lain macam nut, locking nut, neck bolt, head machine.
- once ada satu yg kita install tak ketat, maka part tu akan bergetar.
- contohnya jika kita install head miachine longar, once masa tali bergetar, head machine pun bergetar.
- bila 2 benda bergetar pada freq yg berbeza maka ia saling membatalkan getaran masing masing.
- getaran akan semakin pendek dan sustain kureng.
- Kebiasaanya, cat balik guitar tak menyebabkan sustain drop sangat, tapi how kita asemble balik the part bridge, nut, saddle, spring, claw, block, head machine, bolt skrew, pickup high, string action dan macam macam lagi.

Kalau dia cat kat guitar itu, what happened to the finishing ?
Was the nitro or polymer coat stripped first ? if not, wouldn't it be layers of paint and double coating ?
If Vintage with true nitro cellulose coating, you cat then you kasi coat balik polymer (non-nitro) ada effect kat tone dan sustain kah ? |

thanx bro for your info...i casually rechecked those parts memang ada benda2 yg longgar and also 1 spring tu masuk block tak betul.....eemmm...
kena reassemble blk pas ni...thankx ultraman

actually i did some design on the body, and then spray some clear coatings for protection (2 cans i think). tone-wise there's not much different and my guitar isn't vintage...baik nasib...hehehe..
