yo fellas,

i'm back with the neck fitting. ok, let us put as a whole and total assembly of strats.. this will keep them in tune and more handsome tones..

i'll give yo 90 and 180 degrees, aligned and center balance position. rule of assembly..

1) string tree
- must be at center lines in between the B and E strings and the nut

2) nut
- nut must be at the center of whatever size (41, 42 and 43mm). make sure that the D and G is at the center of the fingerboard.

3) neck
- 4 neck screws must be aligned straight with the heck pocket screws position. there's always a little gap to play around the angles from the neck pocket. therefore, the fretwires are 180 degrees in order with the tremolo pivot screws. this will be a firm match with the spring claw tension..

4) neck pocket
- must be center to center between neck fitting to the pocket. take a look at vintage teles and how they move to positions. check the neck pocket screws and the bridge are not equal but a balance point of the strings from the nut to the bridge.. kalo susah sangat nak tengok korang check la pickguard dgn bridge..

5) tremolo position and points
- most diagonal positioned trem pivot will cause
a) unbalance of tension distribution to the strings
b) unbalance point of tension when played
c) not properly returned to position
d) unwanted contact to the tremolo cavity

6) spring claw position
- must be center aligned with tremolo block position or will have the same problem with the tremolo positions and points. worst, they will screwed altogether... lost of reference or balancing return point..

tilt angle center points..

1) neck pocket
- this will add or reduce stress at the the strings playbility. concave or bowed string angle. axis point are somewhere in between. too much will choke, less will muffle and the correct point will sing the notes... just like viola.. adjusted with shims but will be very handsome without it because there's no gap. imagine at the early days, gibson luthiers will add mixed sawdust and angle the position to avoid gaps.. all about tone..

2) tremolo position and tension
- in between the tension point lies the sweetest spot for the tremolo to return in tune without stress.. make sure the spring gauge are balanced trios. and also, a good reliable quality..

straight tension and fret points
- all positions of vertical lines of frets, neckpocket, neck, tremolo, nut and spring claw must be without fail in order.

neck must be hassle free of bums, twist and rising tonge

1) capo 1st fret view 5th, 7th, 9th, 12 and last frets 21 or 22..
a) 1st to 12th will check the straightness of the neck.
b) 12th to 21 or 22 for the rising tongue.
c) neck must be straight and slight concave tension of the strings are added.
d) a lengthy steel and straight ruler might help. some might need, some might not..

2) trust rod tension responds (material and reflex)
a) vintage truss rod are more stiff due to the material content, tampering treatment and quality. firm but king of tone..
b) the newer ones (good brands aaa, not tengkorak) are more soft tensioned and responsive. some with a multi adjustable and fine tuners on the neck..

axis point
- will involve the neck pocket, saddles and bridge points. you are almost there. I WILL POST ON NEXT OVER THIS ISSUE.

check these on your guitars.. details later..

so enjoy!
