aku ada masalah sket dgn maple fretboard aku yang agak kotor@berkulat.dia mcm ala ala kulapuk <tompok2 kaler kehijauan>.  untuk pengetahuan ibanders, aku da lama tk usik bass aku ni.so mcmna aku nk bg fretboard aku tu bersih spt sedia kala.

kalo rosewood, sy tau la..sy pakai Dunlop Fingerboard 01 dan 02... 01 utk bersihkn kotoran daki kat fretboard dan kat fret.. 02 tu minyak utk pelembap fret rosewood.. kasi hitam balik papan rosewood . emm rosewood n ebony snsitif..cepat kering.. kalo kering, akan scatch bila buat bend..... xmcm maple n glossed maple

Banyak nye ko tanya..
aku jawab satu jer...
aku guna buat cuci and conditioner..
lepas tu time sembur... terkena sikit body gitar aku..
trus aku buat lap satu body.. hilang segala habuk dan cap jari.. haha

akan aku usahakn.  kalo kta rasa/main mmg mcm tkda prob fretboard tu..tp dr mata kasar mmg fretboard tu agak kotor@berkulat.aku pn tk pasti ianya kulat ataupn tidak..tp mmg mcm tompok kulat la.. so far tkda effect dgn sound la..cuma sakit je mata aku memandang.

kalo body, mksudnya bukan utk fretboard la tu... keliru... hehe..mksudnya lemon oil ni boleh utk fretboard, dan boleh utk body? serbaguna jgak lemon oil ni

boleh tu boleh..
tapi aku tak tahu side effect nye...
tapi pakai lemon oil tu... kalau letak dekat rosewood takde la nampak hitam sangat..
lepas aku dah lap2 minyak die... takde nampak basah sangat pun.. nampak biasa jugak..
nanti aku try beli minyak lain pulak...

Not being rude just stating a fact guys, the warning label isnt for looks...
Maple should be coated with tung oil, i have built a many guitars and lemon oil guarantees that you wont ever be able to coat it back with tung oil... i refinished just my fret board cause i changed the marker dots to abalone.. I went back with tung oil ..heres a few pics.. |

so...
just for fretboard, (body dah ada finish nitro, polyurethane etc.. lap kain buruk je la...)
maple : kena pakai minyak tapi tung oil not lemon oil? gitu ke?
rosewood : tak boleh pakai minyak kan? ke boleh.. penah google rasanya kena pakai steel wool code halus punya kasi gosok..dulu..
ada sapa2 penah try?
