| I was at the Pan Global building on wednesday for some music canteen meeting.im not a member lah...just kawaning a friend there..anyways.they're comin up with an Xmas compilation.16 songs 17 artists. i forgot what else...hmm..i dunno it sounded very business like..BORING....anyways...the only thing that was cool was TempredMentals christmas song preview.cant wait for that cd to come out...yeah....melina you rock! |

| menyesal why mr.bungle? what whole story? ya..i almost signed up cuz hamka(disagree) emailed me but then i figured...nah...i don't really want to be a part of that scene.not that MC is bad or anything..it just doesn't feel right for me right now....sigh...music business. theres no point in joining in for me since i cant even do any shows and my music "sucks" compared to what they have,and i hate signing papers and shit..might as well just stick to almightly i-bands.net where theres less hassle...no insurance papers to sign up..no complications..where my music is free (music should be free man..unless ur charging for the cd cover)...happy happy happy...go king ajeep! |

adam..kenapa tak signup??..u should man..it's a good exposure..don't say that ur music sucks..or wuteva..LET PEOPLE JUDGE..not u..diffrent ppl have diffrent ears and heart man...as for my personal opinion i-bands and musiccanteen is totally a diffrent category BUT,,sama MATLAMAT geng..(promote our local band),of course they make money..not in i-band..but u must know that SOME PPL CREATE MUSIC FOR MONEY...don't say that music is for free...nop..like i said..some ppl earn a living by creating music...and some ppl make music is for his/her own pleasure...which is most of them are in the i-band..and some of them is also in the musiccanteen as well..for me mcanteen is just another stepping stone to another level...i don't agree that some ppl said that mcanteen will kill i-bands...nop...beb...i know some ppl ego..takut nanti member kate aper plak kalau aku sign kat mcantten...nanti kena kutuk,aku tau sgt la geng geng so called (underground)..i've been in the scene since zaman picadilly dulu..but sebagai penonton la..tak brp campur sgt dgn KLHC..hahhaa..old days.LETAK DUA DUA,I-BAND LETAK,MCANTEEN PUN LETAK..ok wut??..it just that i don't like sifat sifat kronism kat dlm mcanteen tu..aku taknak cerita lebih lebih coz..tak elok kutuk kutuk blkg,lagipun diorang byk tlg gak..ader baik buruk..actually bila aku pk..mana mana pun ader kronizm gak..mana aku tau?? member aku baik dgn salah sorang CEO kat situ..biaser laa.. dua dua sekampung...so cerita semua klr laa..charts kat mcanteen tu..bkn semua betul...for me it's not fair la..nak buat biar buat betul betul..but like i said...mcanteen byk gak tlg...and aku rase i-band nie kalau loaded mcm mcanteen pun lagi byk bole tlg...tu je yg aku tak puas hati..lain ok...
aku agak lepas aku post ni ramai la fire aku..tau sgt kat forum forum nie..tu yg aku malas nak masuk byk forum..tgk jer...hahhaha.. anyway conclusion nyer ITU HANYA PENDAPAT AKU...takde nak mengecilkan mana mana pihak or wutsoeva... |

ya..havent signed up cuz i havent decided which song to send and picking which cover to send..and lah blah blah...yeah i guess i really need the exposure.so does everyone here.and yeah..signup is free isnt it?plus you get money in return.and noo...i didnt mean it cam music should be like totally free..yea i make music for money too..for students video and documentaries..nah... i dont think signing up Mc would kill Ibands..if anything it would be a cool idea for them to work with each other.don't you think so ajeep?and if cyberjaya.fm still on that would be great too..

hey adam, mrbungle has a point there dude, it's a good exposure to be there. Well actually its better to have on both i-bands & musiccanteen. I'm on musiccanteen as well. No harm on trying dude.
i-bands will always be a place where we can share opinion and develop music together. Its kinda like, i-bands is the studio, and musiccanteen is the record store. 
BTW, Pay per download is Very good for.... bedroom musicians!! and I know it'll be good for you adam. you have lotsa cool songs.
hey hey.. who said musiccanteen is gonna kill i-bands? if i-bands is not here, where the hell would they going to discover new pool of talents? They found adam here... and few other bands as well! cuma diorang tak pernah nak acknowledge saja

Well, it's good to know that struggling indies like us have a viable avenue to market our music now.
But the bottom line means everything to profit-hungry business setups. And the more money they make, the greedier and less human they get.
In the end, artists end up having their souls sucked dry. It's the same old story!
