GT8 Real Time Analyzer Traces Plus Other Info
A while back someone mentioned that it would be good if someone could pull together the good tips that show up on this site. I thought that was a pretty good idea, so I stupidly did it. It's taken about 40 hrs of time, totals almost 700 pages (in Word format) and is about 36 Megabytes in size.
It contains a complete table of contents, over 400 RTA traces of each amp sim using various tone and gain settings, complete list of Quick Tone settings (thanks Kramer_5150), Frequency curves for almost all of the Eminence and Celestion speaker products, some good articles on Tubes, human hearing, sound, a formatted version of Perdikaments Primer, some Kewlpak and Cavadge stuff and a whole bunch of FrenchFries wisdom along with what little I have.
It's not done yet, but I'm sick of working on it and I want to play my guitar for a long while. If anyone has the time to analyze the RTA traces with regards to cut/boost, center frequency and a guess at the "Q" of each amp sim, please feel free.
I hope this thing is of use to someone out there...or at the very least fuels some discussion on how the GT8 works

Hi all.
I present you the "GT-8 Master", another editor for the GT-8. It's for Windows, but since it was written on pure C/C++ Win32 API, I guess it can run smoothly on WINE. I decided to write this program because I don't like graphical knobs. It was developed with the "fast/easy tweaking" principle in mind, trying to be intuitive, simple and small. It does not do many things by now... future versions will bring more features. If someone wants to try it out (yes, 100% free), here it is:
