1. if u wanna shred, u have to learn to play fast?
If you wanna end up like MAB, yea. And you gotta have his hairdo too. 
2. if u wanna shred, u have to play thousand note in 4 minutes?
Hell yeah. Make that millions of notes as both hands will be fretting.
3. the best guitarist make the best music?
If it's good to the ears. He's a good guitarist. Even if he's a 5 year old kid, if the sound coming out of the guitar he's playing is good, he's good. I guess.  |

plus a story...
One early morning after a gig a kid picked up a guitar, intent on impressing Muddy Waters, and ripped off a bunch of rapid-fire, run-together, stock blues riffs. When he got done, he was quite pleased with himself and glanced at Muddy and around the room with a "I'm-really-slick-and-aren't-you-impressed" look on his face.
Muddy Waters just sat in his chair taking it all in. After a moment of silence, he said: "You white boys play too many notes."
