Personally, I enjoyed the show at Paul's Place.
Ashraff of The Fridays really wore skirts (YOU FAG!! Hahaha)- I thought it's a joke. Yeah, he rolled on the floor like a kid being denied a toy at the shopping centre. I missed part of their performance as I was too busy chit chatting.
Kapal selam - Due to busy searching for friends and chit chatting, I didn't really catch much of them when they performed but I realised they played a few cover songs. Personally, I didn't fancy cover songs. I wished they would play more of their own songs. Sorry, Irene...I am criticising here. I checked out the CD they gave me, there were some nice songs - I remember liking a slow Malay song and the first track in English from their CD.
Owen's acoustic set was great. I considered him as a surprised performer because his name was not in the list although Clinton had hinted that Owen might appear.
Bittersweet - it's very sweet of Herry to perform at the show despite of his leg injury. The other band members actually carried him up the stairs. It showed the commitment of the band to perform. I believe other bands would have pulled out if one of the band members was injured.
The Drives - they have turned me into their fan after the show. I noticed the talent of the drummer, Boby. I loved his funky "Stone Roses"/90's British indie drumming skill. I'm now addicted to their EP.
NSP - First time I saw them live and I could not believe my eyes. I hope I don't have to wait another 6 years to see them again. I was at the Curve to see them again but I was too tired on Sat |
