BTW aku dah installed bunyi mmg best tp bila aku tekan suis kat 4th post bunyi dia nyaring sket la(mcm bunyik kat 1st post lak tp sound nipis).
soalan2 nye bebunyik :
a) adakah aku salah wiring?
b)takpon ada wire putus
c)suis rosak??  (pateri terlebih panas kot?!)
mintak pendapat korang sket (1st time aku bukak gitar sendiri....)
bantulah dakuuuu......hehehe

oo dia ada 2 wayar je kan..? satu hitam dan satu putih.
yang hitam tu ground, so ko kena solder sekali dgn wayar2 ground yg lain (usually on the top of the one of the pots).
wayar putih tu, ko assign kat selector . In this case, ko assign kat pin yg represent neck pickup. Kalau ko pasang terbalik, ia still bunyi lebih kurang sama tapi dia dah jadi reverse polarity. Sound tak ada beza sangat cuma ia berbeza dgn ketara bila ko guna pickup combination iaitu position 2(neck+mid) atau position 4(bridge+mid).
Aku pelik, kenapa ko cakap ada effect kat 4th postion? sedangkan ko cuma ubah neck pickup je. Sepatutnya kalau ada salah pun, ia sepatutnya kacau pada 1st dan 2nd postition..
Tapi andaikata ko tersalah cakap position order tu(ko maksudkan ialah 2nd position instead of 4th position), jadi kenyaringan tu mungkin disebabkan oleh pickup yg baru tu punya polarity tak match dgn pickup ko yg lain.
Jadi, cuba ko terbalikkan wiring ko utk pickup baru tu,
yg ground(hitam) ko jadikan power, yg power(putih) ko jadikan ground. Ini akan ubah bunyi 2nd position ko.
kalau rajin cuba la..atau mungkin org lain ada cara lain yg better..

fretted bros,
problem ni memang rimas, banyak yg beli dan tolak single coil because of this problem. selalunye kalau on standard guitar polarity dia dah fixed, tapi bila dah masuk lain p/up poof! barai!...same goes to humbuckers (bila kita rojak kan brand dan model..ha ha ha ha!)!
kita start dgn -
1) bila nak check p/up guna la multitester, test samada hidupka, mampoih ka dan power dia..
2)separuh brand ada dia punya color code, vintage ada cloth wire je, dia akan colourkan kat belakang bobbin belakang magnet..ori vintage specs lansung tak ada...
susunan p/up strat...
selalu nya yg hot kat belakang, tengah dgn depan serupa atau lebih kurang..kalau ada inductor plate, confirm la yg belakang..
masalah polarity
sebelum pasang, check magnet secara mudah..ambil 2 p/up tu stack antara 2 p/ups tu...kalau menolak tanda dia reverse polarity, kalau menarik, dia sama polarity..
lepastu check dgn p/up yg pertama tadi dgn p/up ketiga, same method...
susunan dia
a)
p/up depan north
p/up tengah south
p/up belakang north
b)
p/up depan south
p/up tengah north
p/up belakang south
bila in between, ko dapat out of phase dan cancel the 60 cycle hum la..
ini basic untuk standard strat, bukan secara detail, configuration ada banyak. aku terangkan setakat ini sahaja tak mau kasi org konfuse...ada topik2 lain macam reverse polarity reverse wound, alnico magnets, ceramic, fishpaper bobbins, wound coil tap, demagnetized pickups dan banyak lagi..
for now, thats it!

Flat-pole vs Staggered-pole Pickups
If you compared a flat-pole pickup to a staggered-pole pickup wound the same way, you would get a little more presence ( like a Fender Amp presence knob), a little more bass and a little more overall output from the flat-pole pickup. Another way to think about it is that a flat-pole pickup will generate a little more output without putting more wire on the pickup coil. Adding more wire changes the frequency response, usually by losing some treble and gaining some bass. If you are already use to using staggered-pole pickups, you may find that you will need to turn the bass down slightly on the amplifier because with a flat-pole pickup you will no longer have to make up for weak low strings.
In most cases the flat-pole pickup will give you a better string balance. The high E won't get buried in the mix like a staggered-pole pickup can. You will also notice that the two low strings are louder than a staggered-pole set, and the G string does not overpower the others.
Staggered-poles create more of a smeared tone when you play more than one note at a time—you may or may not like it. On a staggered-pole pickup the low strings rarely overpower any amp, but they can also sound somewhat subdued or weak. The volume on the G string tends to dominate all others. If you have previously played using only staggered-poles and you don't notice any discrepancies with string-to-string volume balance, you have learned to compensate for them. If you decide to try a flat-pole set, it may take some time to adapt but once you get familiar with the sound, you'll find they work better in most cases than a staggered-pole design. For example, all teles up until around 1956 had flat-poles—no one ever comments that their 1952 telecaster has bad string balance. Also, most Telecasters, Jazzmaster, Mustangs and Fender bass guitars have historically had flat-pole pickups. On Gibson guitars no one ever staggers the adjustable poles as much as strat pickups.
