aku kalu deadzid post je mesti best baca ... serius heheheh..
ok aku pulak..
1998 - baru start kenal music, main gitar kapok start form 5, tapi time tu string tukar ke left pasal aku kidal.. influence musical adalah NIRVANA!
2000 - biler masuk UUM, baru explorasi music lagi besar, budak2 ni bawak pengaruh macam2, punk, metal, hardcore, indie, grunge.. aku slalu problem jamming main gitar kanan, so, last2 aku tukar balik permainan aku ikut normal gitar (tu achievement tu heheheh)
2001 - kemaruh layan budak2 gig kat area penang, perlis... zaman tu memang happening, sampai aku teruja nak buat band, perform kat gig macam zaman tu.. daripada band2 underground ni la sebenarnye merangsang aku nak buat music sendiri...
2002 - abis study, keje kat penang, merempat la studio jamming carik kaki jamming... pastu dapat jugak akhirnye buat band, perform gig and the history begins...
maleh nak citer pjg2, cuma summary dia.. biler dah masuk music life ni.. there's no turning back... pada aku la....

yeah, zid! i cudnt agree with u more. musix mmg tak geranti duit periuk nasi. but if u really want it, there are such consequences and a hellof naik turun carik show tis and that. as for me, mmg performing live dah rase. but demo, ep, bla bla, belom lagi. but whatever it is, i need to break the malaysian industry. go international. hopefully. haha. punyerla impian. oh well. i-bands can ada. if ada band malaysia bole buat, kenape tidak kite

I don't play any musical instrument and I can't sing any shit. I'm more into the production and pushing to get things done.
Frankly speaking, nothing much has been achieved except for my personal passion and interest. Rugi duit adalah.
I consider the following as achievement:
1. Managed to produce a cheapo compilation album that I could not even recover the cost although it's cheapo. In terms of $$, I gain nothing but I learned a lot in the process in terms of human factor i.e. who can be trusted and who cannot be trusted...who is reliable and who is not ....and also management skill, sales, marketing, accounting, financial control, push the project, and everything and anything that needs to get things done.
2. Managed to get myself on the radio airwave to help the bands and gained the trust of a radio DJ. Gained nothing in terms of $$ but I love radio...hope to change the local radio perception towards indie/underground music. I always wanted to work in radio station like John Peel and it has come true after I forced my way through as a volunteer.
My advice for anyone who wish to make their dreams is to have an initiative to push themselves. We cannot wait for the sky to fall |
