thanx ridzi!!!Probally it's his vocals that is good ...not my technique. Laughing

i use the PC mic just for the guitar.....

for vocals....i use a SHURE C-Series(dynamic). Which i got free!!! Laughing (how?i cannot tell...hehhe)tak banyak info berkenaan dengan mic ni but with my experience with it i know that it's not really a good mic for recording guitars....not sensitive enough and probally it's not a mic for recording.....maybe for speech or something where it's more emphasis on the presence range...

enough crapz..

so..i recorded the vocals....not much technique here..the vocal even have to hold his mic....mic stand pon tak mampu nak beli..
it's advice to use pop filters but since stand pon tarak... F@#k it! thank god my vocal tau control sikit, don't ever blow in the mic !!
For me---> i think the PC mics are good also..u just have to know how to use it...my fren did a few demo(hip hop) with it,using for vocals and also his kapok guitar.Anyone talked about microphone techniques here?Surely can get over the net somewhere. For the guitar, i alwiz try to avoid pointing the mic to the soundhole, even tho the signal provided is higher...

then use only a few plugins....
Gate it with VST dynamics(available in cubase itself), Antares Microphone Modeler, and then TC Native Reverb....sometimes...Akai Quadcomp(multiband compressor....)
The microphone modeler plugin seems to be realy nice ... i can't get the model of my mic to match... so i put it as SM58B just because it looks like a SM58 Laughing Laughing Laughing and usually model mics like Neumann U87,AKG C3000 and etc.It doesn't provide a perfect replica of the microphones but it has quite and effect to the signal.

Well, hope this help in anyway.

hey all...

1st of all..no money at the moment fer shures..but a sm58 is good..might wanna buy that behringer...but must go n check see lah...leceh siut taker duit.

all songs are recorded using a computer-microphone for instruments / and a ur-normal-karaoke-mic for my vocals , sometimes , use the comp-mic if we're recording one-go.....crappy beb.eheh...but noise reduction n eqing helps lah...must mess around fer the right sound though. hey,we used kapok and semi-acoustic/practice bass amp fer our sounds...hehehe..low budget giler...but still sounds okay...listen to crazy mister entrepreneur acoustic version on http://www.i-bands.net/audiovault/bands/360/music.php

anyone wanna sell / knows where to get cheap drum sets? tak kire brand...lagi murah nyer brand , lagi kiter nak.

ciausinn...

oit! meaning harga Shure SM58 lebih kurang RM400 ke? what the f**k??!

anyway, kalau sape nak test power mic SM58 tu, boleh la try jam kat Studio Catchy, Section 9 Shah Alam (atas Foto-Zoom, sebaris ngan Mahogany, mcD, Secret Resipi, etc)... kat studio B pakai mic tu, memang pickup gile!
