gibson LP std since 2002 mahal sikit, due to vintage style hardware (nickel stoptails, pickup covers etc).
or probably the LP std that they were selling was an actual reissue of a particular classic vintage LP std. especially kalau maple top grade AAA etc, memang kat sini pun beribu2 pound. so, kali 7 logik jugak rm14k!

i think we are suckers for marketing (artist endorsement)... e.g. I like Petrucci Ibanez but it's really nothing special. In fact the specs (basswood, absurd lo-pro trem) are pretty crappy for the price.
Well what to do. If got $$ buy only lah. Pose in the mirror a bit ... then regret later

ok confirm salah.... probably LP custom that was. Or some anniversary thing (who can keep track). But actually Woh Fatt price is oookay lah. Not 'cheap' but still not OUTRAGEOUS like say Guitar collection. I saw ESP KH-3 there for RM9980. 
Might as well buy PRS!!!!

i saw an ad somewhere, this one guy is selling his cousin's ESP Eclipse (Japan - Les Paul shape) - going for RM2000/= (negotiable)... damn, kalau lefthand memang aku dah angkat terus tuh! This is ESP, not LTD... you can't get an ESP bellow RM 10k, right?!

para rockers sekalian... M'sia definitely overpriced. For ESP go to s'pore Davis guitar. or if you have a chance to go overseas sometime, maybe HK or Japan, prices are much lower.
deadzid, RM2000 for Eclipse sapu la. Actually only in M'sia you'll find ESP is priced at list price. For e.g i remember seeing ESP KH-3 in S'pore for roughly RM7000 MAXIMUM. it's very possible to get good ESPs for about Rm5-6k. M-II maybe RM7-8k lah. Of course that's still expensive for a guitar...
LTD in M'sia overpriced... don't ever buy
I have an LTD Kamikaze, a bit regret. But anyway I ordered from US, also cheaper

Itu la sebab...aku rasa tokey2 kedai guitar kat Malaysia memang tak banyak competition, thats why they feel that they can rip the shit out of use Malaysian consumers.
Anyway...i wonder if someone were to open a shop with REAL and FAIR prices...will they send a hitman to kill him/her??
I am guessing they probably would... they would make a mint. selling good guitars at a cheaper price. Plus most Malaysian shops i have been tu really macam bagus je. Service macam pukimak...knowledge takde... tapi nak tekan orang je kerja...

Tula pasal, hari tu aku kebetulan ada kat Amcorp Mall. aku masukla ke Mahogany, dia jual Amp Laney HArdcore 30 Watt RM1500. Aku ingat biasa je la harga tu. Pastu a few days after that, wife aku belanja aku makan kat TGIF kat Subang Parade, pastu ada lalu kat Yamaha Music punya kedai, Laney Harcore 50 watt dia jual 1600 je...macam pukimak je mahogany. Pastu dulu masa aku survey gitar V, aku list down antara 2 je, Jackson RR3 dengan LTD V-100, dekat CK music (Imbi) Jackson tu RM2100 je, dekat Mahogany sampai RM3000...macam sial je... aku ada tanya dia kot dia ada juat Behringer products kat Mahogany, terus kutuk, dia cakap tak bagus sebab made in China, nak aje aku cakap, "Engkau tu pun made in China, toksah cakap banyak la" Kalau takde cakap je la takde...nak kutuk pulak...buduh betul...
Apa-apahal, aku paling suka Guitar Store kat Cheras. Dia punya staff suma best-best...layan ko macam raja...

Tapi Mahogany kat Section 9 Shah Alam ni okay la pulak... ari tuh aku saje je ngade2 tanya pasal PRS Les Paul cutting... then dia bawak keluar sebijik dari hard shell case, suruh aku try... bila aku tanya harga, dia cakap RM 13K!!! Terus aku simpan balik gitar tuh! hahaha...
Ade satu hari tu, aku nak beli set strings gauge tebal (0.56 - 0.11)... dia cakap takde jual, pastu dia suruh aku masuk bilik gitar, suruh aku try main Jackson 7-string guitar (sbb gauge dia tebal)... hahha..
Best nye kalau semua kedai music bagi layanan camni... Aku nak try la usya Guitar Store kat Cheras tu.. cam best je... Mahogany nih mahal la!
