Min...what gauge is the Paul Gilbert pick? Is it 1.2mm? Izuan did mention Petrucci's Jazz III
Ok...any other suggestions for picks? I think I might one day go out and buy all these picks and try 'em out... |
Dunlop Jazz III pick gives more mid frequencies with a lot of punch. Since it was a small sized pick, it needs more effort from my wrist to pick expecially when doing alternate picking. Recently i found the tone from it didnt suit to my new fender strat. I'm using .11-.48 string gauge which already produces a lot of mid frequencies. My pickups configuration is SD hot in the bridge, Texas Special(bridge) in the neck and standard reverse polarity in the middle.
For that configuration i've changed my pick to standard heavy pick 1.5 and I like the tone from it. More clarity and more expressive. One more thing.. pick jenis tu senang gila nak cari.. susah nak dengar kehabisan stock mcm pick big stubby yg Sham Kamikaze guna tu. Tensen gue sih..! _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

bro Bode,
i think its between 1 - 1.2mm thick not really sure lak...but definitely good for alternate pickers....and one good reason is 'Paul Gilbert' one of the worlds top alternate pickers uses it.....
since im also using PGM301 with 9-42 strings ernie ball macam Paul Gilbert guna jugak...boleh dgr bunyi picking kalau main....
but tak tau la kalau bro Bode prefer sound picking jenis lain.... _________________ www.myspace.com/hazmin90 |

Ko pakai .11-.48 Izuan? Boleh rabak la jari aku kalau pakai gauge tu!
Kat mana ada jual Jazz III ni...adakah iya senang didapati di mana mana saja?
At last dapat juga aku tengok muka ko dgn gitar ko Izuan! Kewl!!! |

I want your picking tone man! But if I can't get that picking tone even after experimenting with different picks, I'll just have to stick to my crap one then! |

Pick JAZZ III tu boleh dpt kat bentley. Kalau dah habis.. aku boleh kirim kat ko sebab aku ada lagi sikit pick tu dlm 3-4 biji kot. Malas nak pakai dah. Aku start tukar pick standard ni sejak Gary Hoey dtg main dgn Sham Kamikaze kat Planet dan dia sedekah pick dia kat penonton. Aku try memula susah so aku tak pakai sgt tapi bila test kat fender dan dpt angle yg sesuai, aku rasa ok pulak sound dia.. Pastu Marty Friedman pun ada sedekah dia punya pick pun sama je size dia cuma brand dia ibanez dan gary Hoey tu Fender. So aku pun beli la sebungkus terus.
p/s: bro bode.. kalau nak tgk more pic bukak la personal galery aku. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

Tak tebal pun. aku still finding yg sesuai.. so keep chenging selagi tak puas. Skrg tgh pakai standard heavy pick. Bentuk biasa. Sound best, tone lebih bright sikit tp cepat jahanam pick tu sebab aku main ganas. Skrg ni fret wire aku pun dah start lekuk2. Aku kena tukar jumbo fret la kot. Skrg pakai vintage punya fret ...punya la halus mcm pondan.. lebih halus dari medium jumbo yg ada pada standard strat. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |
