Diorang takkan tulis JCM800 kat unit dia...dah tentu JCM800 tu trademark Marshall...nanti Behringer kene sue kat mahkahmah pulak..Copyright infringement tau!!!!
they renamed is as British High Gain - This is also the same on the POD
hope that clears it up..

audigy hang tu ade asio ke?
maybe just for audio recording and edit tak kisah sangat pasal ASIO.
aku pakai banyak VSTi, so latency tinngi memang tak bole di terime
Ridzi pon tak pakai soundcard yang ade ASIO huh?
aku tak terrer kot. |

OK dudes...aku tengah belajar pakai Nuendo 2.
At last, this old man from the analogue ages is going digital (tapi masih bengap la...but learning...)
I learnt that ASIO drivers helps a lot at reducing latency, esp when you're using real time VST efx processing, but it seems some of you guys are doing well in this, even using soundcards not supporting ASIO. I am in the process of looking for soundcards at the moment and I need some advice.
Anyway, I've got a few problems here which I'm sure lots of you here can provide the answers to:
1) I used to use Samplitude 7, which is kinda a CPU hog, but my puny P4 2.4Ghz/512 RAM/piece of shit onboard soundcard combination seems to be coping very well with it(I'm not using real time Direct X efx processing while recording, but I've been testing it during playback of several tracks all with tons of Direct X efx processing, and things run smooth).
The problem now is after switching to Nuendo 2, I'm experiencing serious latency problems in that I cant even multitrack without the 2nd track gradually running out of sync to the previous track during playback(I'm only recording at 16-bit without any real time processing here).
I have been warned that unlike Nuendo 1.x, Nuendo 2 is a real CPU hog, which could be the explanation, and I dont mind beefing up my system to 1Gig RAM + a good priced soundcard with ASIO 2 support to get this running because I like the interface of Nuendo 2.
What I need to know is, is this new problem all due to Nuendo 2 being a CPU hog(hence me needing to upgrade my system), or is there also something else that I'm not doing right which needs remedy as well...?
And guys, can you gimme a list of competitively priced soundcards(with ASIO 2 support) that is obtainable in KL...with their respective shops if possible...
Old analogue man needs digital help...because old analogue man wants to rock again... |

Ahhhhhh Welcome to the darkside Bode MUAHAHAHAHA!!
Ok First of all, let me make it clear that the latency that you are experiencing is because Nuendo runs better with an ASIO 2.0 compliant card.
So obviously, your card isn't really designed to work with Nuendo's architecture, which requires Nuendo to run smoothly.
I have a slower CPU than yours.. (AthlonXP 1800+) and I used to run on 512Mb of RAM and didn't have any latency problems at all. (Imagine me running two instances of DFH at 229MB each!!) - the only problem i had was that it takes a while to load when i open the files because when there wasn't enough RAM..Nuendo was using paging files on the hardisk
You are on the right track Bode. All you need is a new soundcard thats supports ASIO 2.0 and you will be sorted. More RAM would be nice too so you can have more tracks loaded and more VST's loaded. Plus your files will open much quicker. As for recommendations and prices in Malaysia...im not sure...
i recommend a Delta 66 with an Omnistudio, or a Terratec DMX Fire, there are so many out there these days...what is your budget???
