No...I called you a snob because you dismissed a great peice of equipment just because its made of plastic.
Try to look beyond cosmetics... It's not what on the outside, its what on the inside that counts...
If you don't like the tones it can produce, fair enough. But to say its unreliable only after testing the damn thing for a short time is plain absurd.
I have used my V-Amp for nearly 1 and a half years, not one time it failed on me. I say thats pretty damn reliable.
Can you say owned?

fair enough, if you want to settle down for "good in the inside,worst at the outside" ..
i have friends who owned it..brought it to a gig --accidents do happen somebody bang it and drop it ..and you guess what happens?

hehe cool down guys... obviously MetalSkeletor is still pissed about something and it seems like gapster is the 'victim' of his anger...
st anger around my neck..
so basically, v-amp 2 is cool in terms of sound but lacks in durability.. end of discussion!

Okay...I have had enough of this bitching contest.
The V-amp has no reliability problems, I own the POD 2.0 and and I have tested the V-amp for some considerable time and I have found that neither of them are superior than the other in terms of reliability.
Gapster
In mass production, there are bound to be a certain amount of dud units that get by QC undetected. I think that your friend might have bought a dud one.
I have a flot of friends who own the V-amp and also the V-amp Pro, and all of them are very happy with their purchase, to the point of dissing Line-6 owners like myself (but we can save the POD Vs. V-Amp argument for another time) All of them are using their V-Amps actively, some of them for studio work, and a lot of them relying on their V-Amps regularly for live work. None of them have been bitching about the reliability of their V-Amps.
In fact- to be honest, i hear more complaints about the Line6 POD's reliability which is made out of die-cast metal, and also which is significantly more expensive.
By the way the Roland Cube amp is okay, if you want to play gigs in your grandma's bathroom....
