hai otai2 sumer,
neck guitar ada jangka hayat ker? terutamanya guitar murah, today as i try to sell one of my guitar, the buyers friends who act as a pro checking guitar say the neck guitar is swirl/twist, so the guitar is totally rubbish and not worth a penny. so back home i try to check it back, but dint notice the bending or twist of the neck ( checking using ruler).
he viewing from this side without tools.
how actually the fretboard on stratocaster type is? no1 or no2 ? i never got any other guitar before i mean, all my guitar is stratocaster type guitar, so i notice all my guitar neck is no1 including japan stratocaster (reissue 1957 i think), since all my guitar is 2nd hand so i dunno new one will look like.
so maybe i totally wrong but please someone guide me _________________ .... |

Aiyo, that pic nothing to do with swirl/twist.
It is just the neck radius.
The larger radius, the more 'straight' the neck looks in terms of width.
It depends on playing style.
For bendings, you don't want too flat/large radius.
The 2nd pic allows the string action to be set lower and play faster but not so good for bending strings. Most metal guitars like those from Ibanez are those kind of neck. They're never truly straight, just large radius make it look straighter.
It's all about playing style/taste.
Now I assume this 'pro' was talking about warped necks.
Warped necks besides visual checking, you can double confirm by playing and see how many fret buzzes around, the intonation and action.
But seriously, if the guitar plays fine, it shouldn't be having what you call 'warped' or 'swirled' neck problems.
You can usually fix it with truss rod adjustment and intonation adjustment.
It's when truss rod adjustment no longer works is when the guitar is fubared.
You sure the dude is a pro ah ?
And yes, strat necks are more towards the pic on the left. |

i dunno he pro or not but he 'act' pro , btw he just play this guitar without cucuk at the amp. can check like this also for electric guitar? without cucuk to the amp? i just think maybe he always play 090 gauge rather than 010. well, i just pissed off coz he expect the guitar good as high end guitar. but on the other way, he make me thinking maybe he right at first coz i dint use the guitar for so long. _________________ .... |

squier bullet, is not expensive guitar, what is a pro expecting ? Aiyo.
Unless you try to sell him high high price then different story.
This shouldn't cost more than 800 I think.
And my cheap strat that I bought under 600 is still playable and no warped neck.
Guitar nowadays are not like last time. QC is much better than before. |

Ahh Squire Bullet...i thought so..
If its MIJ then it's on the market between RM1000 to RM1500 depending on condition. Obviously a mint one will have a higher value.
If its a MIK - the highest prices are around RM600.00.
RM800 is too steep for this guitar - regardless that it is no longer manufactured.
How much did you sell it for?? Mind you i take it he still bought it eventhough he said it was rubbish..
