hello guys and gals,
again i have to appologise to all for this pertain matter. but it is best to share publicly. ha ha ha!
3 and half months back i went to taiping. i met this old timer who has a vintage 66 guitar all ori with oshc. i manage to see him with a closed friend of mine. we have lunch together and soon he took me to his house. i brought a guitar to sell of too. his son is using a les paul. both seems to be a very nice fellas.
as we were talking, i told his dad about i-bands forums that he can visit. he immedietly replied. 'oh, diorang tu tak boleh.. ada ka nak tukar amp dengan guitar aku.. orang offer aku dah 16k dah.. dia nak tukar dgn amp, ish..!'
honestly i was quite offended with the statement. when i asked, siapa diorang kat forum tu? he can't remember he said.
so i did set a bait. i asked my niece to post for me under the name of 'Zura' while i was in taiping.. i got few pms, most of them are reasonable except a few.. even some mods don't quite agree, but i manage to get these.
1) lowballers are standard
2) most ibanders are matured and knowledgeable
3) most of them are not taking advantage (only one out of ten)
mostly all forums are filled with 'tom, dick and harry'. some are genuine people, some are not. cheaters and opportunist are all over. most forum owners have one think in common, to build up and help the community. forums like ibands is the best place to contribute.. but be warned, there also other people lurking around forums with bad ideas.. most of them are non contributers..
moral of the issue is that, you can't blame the forum for the few culprits involved or disguised as member.. we did our best to advise right?
it is best not to hippocrite.. ok, come throw me some guns... ha ha ha!

personally i've been offered ridiculous offer for my guitars ( e.g. RM200 for a greco les paul custom)
but to me there's no point to take it personally
if u don't want to accept it just say no
after all it's just business |
