Guys, another question.
My friend asked about this but I definitely know nothing bout it so I said I'll ask my trusted forumners and get back to him.
so for guitars... is there any significant difference between the two? for the same model but made in the two countries. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

heheheh
china made vs indo made.. too much different
most of the time guitarist will assume indo is better than china, much much way better.
but from my experience,
IMHO
china quality is like a replica guitar, the finishing is so so only, i used to get a china telecaster custom which the bridge are functioning like a toys, the pickguard screw hole are not even fit on the body and they force it to stuck on the body, the tuner set also unbelievable and the wood crafts also not that good as it should be.
Im not compare it with expensive guitar, it so not fair, but to compare at least the low end gear made by other country like Indonesia, it make whole alot different. Thats why indo guitar made sell bit higher in price to compare with china. if u see bad, ive seen worst.
Indo also already known well with their crafts men and technics in making and modification a guitar. even their parts or accessories are worth to buy with the cost it suggested.
senang cakap in bahasa pasar, china made more to cincai, indo made in quality control for affordable budget _________________ Support Malaysia Local Band

i have owned both china made & indon made before...
most of my comment already being mentioned by jiro
china made
- 'loose' hardware that need to be maintained frequently... if you play & abuse your guitar.. it will need more maintenance... (But still depends, few company use better quality hardware)
- Finishing usually up to standard but there still small flaws & imperfections.
- Electronic sucks... (but still acceptable)
- woods/material seems degrade/dead in the short time..
- Workmanship kinda cincai.. only machine do a good job.. (my tele wiring & soulder cicai & even screws are misaligned).
Indon Made
- Hardware seems sturdier... even at the first time you plays it.. it seems like something that gonna last (for at least years)
- Maintenance does not require a lot of hardwork compared to mic...
- Finishing usually does not totally perfect... the flaw shows that it's more like a handmade to me...
- Quite impressed by the electronics as it seems like they choose the parts properly... but still not high quality parts...
- wood seems like it doesn't really degrade that fast.. only few parts will degrade shortly if you are unlucky...
- Workmanship looks like handmade... the wiring being done properly and neat... the fret usually does not have sharp edges compared to some mic...
For me Indon made have better built and it doesn't seems like MASS PRODUCED like mic... or maybe they have better QC...
My review may be biased since i've only owned few guitars and brands before.. it may varied by brand & company or even luck...
May it be MIC or MII... you may be unlucky if you doesn't check the guitar properly... so don't base your choice on which country it made...
place your view on which brand, company/factory first...
It's not the country who made the guitars... its the workers.. haha _________________ KreativWerks MediaSolutions|Soundcloud | YouTube | Facebook

yaps..in general..MIC guitars are way off than its standards..but it depends on model/brands
@SQUIER's :
cheapest squiers u can get is the MIC..low Q on hardwares,finishing..the tonal x boleh cakap lah..OUT
but...the SQUIER VINTAGE MODIFIED series has seriously stated "crafted in China"..the Q on the guitar itself are way more better..the feels are much more appriciated rather MII punye guitar
as im a bassist before..Ive tried many including the vintage modified..its good
@Epiphone's :
All Epi's MIC n MII n MIK are seriously have gone through a tight QC on their factory
the guitar tones..the craftsmanship are similar...BUT!MIC Epi's have low Q on their hardwares..especially the gold hardware are easily faded..the inlays on some acoustics model are off in color tone
@Ibanez:
MII ibanez are much more better..china mades are just bluff u off. If you r crazy about ibanez,then u buy the GIO series..its totally different..GIO cant have the actual tones from RG's..seriously way too far..IMO laaa
BUT! The new SA series which is Ibanez SA260 model are MIC!!I dont know what the status for Ibanez nowadays..n yaa..even the ARTCORE series are MIC..As far as i now..If it comes from China..it will stated as GIO..but those 2 model are not..so far that what i found
@Fender:
they all produced cheap acoustic with a FENDER tag...quite expensive..better buy Takamine MIC..much more worth your money
@Other:
C R A P..Except SX brand..quite OK n old model of CRAFTMEN brand _________________ The sounds is not about YOUR GEARS..Its about YOUR EARS! |

starting end2008-2009...
most of Ibanez guitar (non-GIO) production has been moved from Indonesia to China,
Same story with LTD guitars.
If you noticed that most of the 2008 MII model guitars using Black/Kosmo hardware.. when it moved to MIC.. the model changed to chrome hardware...
But it seems weird to see that GRGR010LTD said to be manufactured in Indon... anybody can confirm it? _________________ KreativWerks MediaSolutions|Soundcloud | YouTube | Facebook |
