End Time: Sunday, May 30, 2010 at 7:00pm
Location: PUTRA WORLD TRADE CENTRE (PWTC), KUALA LUMPUR
X-PAX presents Battle of The Bands 3 (BEAT THE BUZZER)
PRIZES:
1st Prize: RM2,500
2nd Prize: RM1,000
3rd Prize: RM700
DESCRIPTION:
Preliminary round:
BEAT THE BUZZER! Based on audience reaction, bands will be given 2 minutes to beat the buzzer onstage. The top 30 bands will proceed to the final round.
Semi Finals:
Based on audience reaction, bands will be given 3 minutes to beat the buzzer onstage. THe top 10 bands will proceed to the next round.
Finals:
Bands will be given 3 minutes to perform onstage, for which they will be assessed by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:
* Musical ability and musicianship
* Style and presentation
* Professionalism
* Use of time
* Audience reaction
Regulations:
1. The competition is opened to youths aged between 15-30.
2. The music chosen by each band can be of any language and genre.
3. A non refundable participation fee of RM50.00 (Fifty ringgit) per band is imposed on each entry.
4. Each band must be prepared to play at least 3 songs (minimum of 3 minutes each).
5. Professional bands i.e. bands who play to earn a living are not eligible to participate.
6. The instrumentation for each participating band may include guitars, strings and percussion.
7. Any suitable attire to highlight each presentation will be accepted.
8. The organizers will be providing a drum kit, a keyboard, and guitar amplifier(s).
9. Bands are responsible for bringing their own equipment except those mentioned.
10. All bands must use the drum kit provided by The Organizing Committee.
11. The participating band will be held responsible and accountable for any damage caused to the equipment during the competition, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
12. The order of performance will be determined by The Organizing Committee and given to each band leader prior to competition.
13. All decisions of the adjudicating panel are final and indisputable.
14. Stage diving or moshing will not be permitted. The use of profanity will be strictly prohibited.
15. The closing date for the registration is the 27th May 2010. Entries received after this date will not be accepted.

THE 1ST, 2ND, AND 3RD WINNER WILL BE OFFERED A RECORDING CONTRACT

THEIR SONG WILL ALSO BE FEATURED AT CHANNEL X AS A CMT (Call Me Tones) 
besides that, CASH PRIZES also awaits the champion.
The competition will be done in 3 rounds.
PRELIMINARY ROUND (Friday)

Bands will be given 3 minutes to beat the buzzer and the top 10 bands will proceed to the final round.
