kalau lu selalu bawak hard disk tu jalan2. better get external HD for laptop tu. USB powered.
otherwise kalau utk kegunaan di rumah/office saja. yg external HD enclosure (using IDE or SATA hard disk) dah ok dah.
aku guna IDE HD enclosure apa brand tah. made in china. so far ok jek. but once, aku bawak ulang alik office - rumah. after a while. HD aku kong. so now lepas replace HD tu.. aku tak move it around that frequent lah. tahan sampai skrg. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

ada jugak org buat mcm ni
beli internal HDD yg biasa tu dan beli external hdd casnig dlm RM30-40.. then hdd ko dah pun jadi USB based..
tapi tak tau la dari segi durability.. may be internal hdd ni sensitive sikit ker.. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

ooh..bahaya beb. dalam computer tu, bende paling delicate la hard drive. Too many moving parts inside...ko goncang harddrive pun dia bleh kong. Infact, excessive vibration because it wasnt screwed on tight enough to the casing is enough to get it to jam up. Internal hardrives are not designed to be portable..so use a bit of caution kalau pakai external casing tu. i once witnessed a whole shipment of maxtors that became totally unusable due to bad shipping, but that was years ago. There's this amount of g-force thats allowable before it starts to fall apart and i remember that value was raised somewhat in newer HD models. Still... |

Jeff : yup true dude. always guna semua screw yg ada and pasang ketat2. It is also good practice to tutup semua lubang2 yang tak sepatutnya ada.
Anyway : the external enclosure for IDE or SATA HD (PC HD) is good provided that u don't move it around that much or bring it back and forth between home and office. I've been using mine for more than 2 years now. But u have to treat it with extra care ler. The one for Laptop however is pretty durable.
so kalau ada duit lebih..and need to be portable with the drive. go with the laptop punya. otherwise kalau setakat nak additional storage kat rumah.. external IDE dah memadai. murah skit and bleh balun HD capacity besor2. _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

aku ada.. aku pakai external 80G. g cc buat pendrive. haha..
tp hati2. virus senang masuk.. lg satu hardisk ni sensitif skit. kena jg elok2.
external 80G ke atas.. kena pakai power supply. (satu set ngan casing ms ko beli) klu 40G x yah power supply. so casing dia kecik. mmg portable abis. ko leh taruk dlm poket g jln2.
aku beli external aku tu.. hardisk 80G(western digital) casing bergantung pd jenama ngan tahap kualiti dia. sume tu aku beli tu dlm rm350.
skrg ni dah murah kot. g la survey... |

biasanya semua external casing, sama juga jika anda hanya untuk transfer file kecil ( less than 1GB)...
Harga external casing bergantung kepada:
1) apa chip guna: ada yg hanya boleh support sampau 60GB sahaja. yg certain boleh more than 100GB.
2) stability: certain kasi external AC adaptor atau extra USB cable.. biasanya dapat support big file transder ( more than 3 GB)...
3) casing material guna.....
so utk jimmat wang: harga lebih kurang: rM 30-40.
serdeharna: RM 80-100
yg biasa tak timbul masalah : > RM 150
tapi... harga biasanya akan turun..... _________________ MIDI Specialist's forum is up , Lot 4.29,Low Yat Plaza, Tel:03-2143 1823. Cubase 5 is here.

encik pali
kau kat mane skang??
kalau kau bli casing external HD 3.5 (HD PC)
MAXTOR 80GB - rm200 (kat lowyat rm180 dpt kot)
WD mahal sket kot
casing die dalam rm35 - seratus kot
tapi tak sedab nak bwk jenjalan
berat sehh
skang nih dah ader kabel saje (kabel IDE ke usb ngan kabel power)
so basicly kau leh pakai kat HD atau CDrom
tapi takder protection la
bahaya sket
dlm rm 40 je kot
aku tgk lowyat ari tu
satu lagi external casing pakai HD 2.5 (laptop nye HD)
HD laptop 40GB rm200++ (kalau 60GB jauh beza harga)
brand HD 2.5 nih tak bnyk yang feymes
casing rm20++
kalau nak senang bawak
kau pakai HD laptop je..
setakat aku tgk budak2 aku pakai..
ok je..
tahan je
tapi dah name pakai usb.. lembab sket laa
satu lagi kelemahan...
HD laptop kau tak leh cucuk kat IDE
okies... _________________ KreativWerks MediaSolutions|Soundcloud | YouTube | Facebook |
