korang rase r kan..satu hari nanti malaysia leh terime ke lagu2 metal?...sebab dlu ngan skang metal kat malaysia bebetol dah lain..maybe boleh bukak mata masyarakat malaysia tentang music metal...and boleh suxess band band metal malaysia ke international?....
any opinion? |

susah mmg susah...tapi kalau ader kemahuan boleh..salah satu yg agak X slack skit band malaysia ni..pade aku r...bunyi sume same...so even artist lain yg nyanyi/main..kalau tatau boleh teranggap dari artist yg same

bukan sound pessimistic ke apa...tapi masa aku kat US..aku dah dgr byk band2 metal gempak2 lagi bes dari inflames ke apa tapi diaorang still main small town's pub je...so at the end of the day it's how you network yourself and whether you have the resources to take your music outside malaysia then maybe boleh dpt some international recognition la...ni kena ada support from label juga...boleh la kalau nak setakat market music luar negara tapi nak popular cam band sweden yg popular seluruh dunia tu susah skit la..tapi tak salah mencuba..

encik omar... itu kat US ataupun kat Barat. Hang pelakon porno pun boleh layak jadi wakil rakyat.
Ni kat Malaysia la. Kita ada budaya sendiri. Even, muzik yang kita ada pun dengan acuan kita sendiri. Unik!
So kalau METAL tu nak dipromote kepada masyarakat; sampai sepupu aku, makcik pakcik aku suka atau at least boleh tolerate.... RENTIKAN je la...
aku cakap pasal METAL yang growl... kalau METAL macam XPDC tu OK, no problem... kalau macam IN FLAMES tu... test bagi kat mak bapak kita dengor dulu... kalau depa OK, maksudnya ada chance le "MASYARAKAT" Malaysia boleh terima...
Kesilapan kita ialah kita anggap Malaysia ni macam kat Barat. So menyebabkan kita buat target yang sebenarnya angan2 mat jenin. Be realistik.
Or put our target low (for DEATH METALLER cam aku)... keluar album, play a few gigs sudah cukup. Takde harapan nak masuk carta Muzik2 ke dsbgnya... UNLESS aku tolerate lagu aku, imej band dan NAMA band supaya boleh diterima MASYARAKAT Malaysia... menghala ke arah XPDC contohnya...
On the subject of getting our name abroad tu, ambik contoh SITI NURHALIZA je la... dia yang GRAND kat Malaysia pun tungkus lumus nak letak nama kat Barat nun... FULL TIME and 110% komitment to music. Kalau setakat part time, pegang gitar 30minit sehari (kadang2 seminggu tak pegang instrumen).... nasihat aku, R E N T I K A N L A H angan2 mat jenin tu...
Nak something, effort, suasana sekitar kena consider. Kalau tak, kecewa. Takpun mat jenin. BE REALISTIC!

in my opinion..i think for the next 20 years ..
it is almost imposible for a Malaysian artist to make it as big as the top jap/sweedish bands ..
the market in malaysia is so fukkin bad..people even look down on full time musician..heck..RM29.90 for a local artist or RM32.90 for a u.s artist..
a local band concert here can't even touch 5,000 unless they have some special event to back it up
what some dude posted in jamtank few months back made alot of sence..
we all as musicians should gather together..pakat pakat and ..
start demanding for a pay ..don't do free gigs ,don't play for free
if every musician in malaysia can do that..we musicians have a brighter future

Why do you play your kind of music? TO BE POPULAR??? Kalau nak popular RENTIKAN le main muzik korang sekarang ni. Pi main macam XPDC, SLAM dsbgnya... jadi le popular.
Bukan ke sebabnya korang jadi underground BECAUSE we hate the MAINSTREAM???
STOP WHINING TO BE AN IDOL!!!...

yes mr langsuyr...
itulah maksud aku , walaupun tempat cam US yg porn star boleh jadi wakil rakyat tapi band metal pun struggling kat sana inikan pula kat malaysia kan..
i can understand your low expectation of the music industry from the kind of music your playing - death/black metal..
but to all other kids yg main music metal regardless la what type , just go ahead and do what ever that interests you..play with your heart and passion...try la network2 with regional group...kalau aim nak main gig around indonesia / singapore insyallah boleh..kalau nak start sell out stadium kat japan maybe cannot ... tak salah nak angan2 mat jenin..tapi jgn la kecewa bila tak dpt cos like everything in life..kita kena la realistik..itulah pendapat aku... rock on!

BENAR!!! Masalahnya main muzik tak mainstream, tapi NAK popular. 
Salah angan2 mat jenin ni sebab nanti mintak benda yang dah tentu tak dapat lepas tu merungut tak habis2...
