Yes, but the song will only be considered if the rights still belong to you and not to a record company.

Yes, there's still space & yes, you can cook up new stuff for the compilation. In fact, we encourage i-bands members to submit new material specially done for the compilation if they feel the stuff they've uploaded here is not up to snuff.

Yes, songs uploaded at i-bands are eligible, but we'll also support you if you feel like putting together new tunes specially for the compilation.

And to those who've been flooding our Inbox with fatuous questions, gig info & all kinds of wicked spam, please stop now or you'll be penalised!

guys...is the only way to submit through the net....
or is there going to be a live audition?
thanks guys....
ps:if we have an MP3 recording done by ourselves using an MP3 player!!! would that be good enough for now at least???? the quality of the recording is bit crappy..

Yes, your old song(s) should do fine. Just make sure you're happy with what you've recorded.

Dude, just email your song(s) to ibands@gmail.com & don't worry, we won't ask you to perform for us dressed in clown outfit in front of Globe Silk Store... yet!
As for the quality of your recording, if you feel it's crappy, then it probably IS crappy! So do something about it and submit your improved masterpiece(s) -- two songs each band/artist -- by August 31, 2005.
We've received more than 50 songs already, and we're impressed with the quality of most of them. Keep 'em comin'!

Sorry mate, that's against our confidentiality policy. We also don't want to embarrass those who're not chosen.
Anyway, please bear in mind that we CAN'T guarantee that all the songs submitted will be selected! We have to exercise a certain degree of quality control as we don't want those who've bought the compilation to put up with off-tune/off-time rehearsal recordings or croaky bathroom sessions!
But rest assured that all the songs/artists chosen for the compilation will be announced here sometime in September.
If you've already sent us your songs, chances are we've got them! If you still insist on being reassured that your submissions have reached us  , you can post individual queries here.
So, don't dilly-dally! Send us your MP3s (to ibands@gmail.com ) by or before Merdeka Day (August 31).

Dudes (& ladies if any are lurking here), you have only TWO WEEKS to submit you songs! So, don't waste any more time, especially if you've not got around to recording your masterpieces yet. Use the haze as an excuse to stay at home and get your stuff done.
And to those who've sent in MP3s but have yet to register with i-bands and upload their music here, please do so as soon as possible. We're sorry to inform you that you'll be disqualified if you refuse to do so.
We have already received more than 100 songs, so don't be left out of this chance to be part of the Great Malaysian Indie Music Revolution!

You have less than a week dudes! So, if you haven't submitted anything original yet, get something done this weekend.
We already have more than enough songs -- no kidding! -- to fill up 700MB of space. But we'll be gracious and wait till Aug. 31 (2005!) before we decide on the final selection.
So go make some music... NOW!
