V-Synth-What a Babe!
No other Synthesizer can match to its unique approach to sound creation, or the way in which you can interact with the sounds. A Superstar in it’s own right, Roland V-Synth has earned Keyboard magazine’s prestigious “Key Buy” award, along with accolades in British publications Future Music and Sound On Sound.
The Ultimate Synthesizer! Imagine a Synth that combines multiple oscillator technologies with realtime control of a waveform’s pitch, time and formant. Then, add user sampling to create entirely new waveforms, powerful COSM® filtering, a killer programmable 32-step apreggiator and a host of realtime controllers including the TimeTrip Pad and D-Beam.
With all the power of music in the V-Synth, it is no wonder that today’s hottest producers like Eminem keyboardist Luis Resto (winner of Oscar as co-writer of Eminem’s hit song “Lose Yourself”, Nine Inch Nails programmer Charlie Clouser and ex-Nine Inch Nails drummer turned artist/producer Chris Vrenna are all proud users of this remarkable instrument.
Here are even more power users (besides the three above) of the Roland V-Synth. The Prodigy, Hybrid, MJ Cole, Nick Rhodes (Duran Duran), Reactor, Richard Barbieri (Japan), Tery Lewis (Janet Jackson, producer R & B, club, pop), Danny Elfmann (Spiderman movie soundtracks), John Norstrom (film scoring, Las Vegas on NBC), Dominic Messanger (All My Children, General Hospital, Days of Our Lives), Peter Robinson (Without a Trace on CBS), Kashif (producer, Whitney Houston, Lil Kim), MCA Records, Rick Nowels (producer/song writer, Madonna, Jewel).
Honestly, so many top artists and producers can’t be possibly wrong!

Anyway, had a go at it for a month last year. This is my Star Audiofile review: http://www.geocities.com/sundaystyle/vsynth.html
And just because top artists use a particular musical instrument doesn't mean every impoverished musician has to sell his soul to the Devil to have it! |

I have manage to seen this V-Synth at my friends studio in Singapore. They are using it for Sound Designing and Jinggles. Making own sounds is having own identy that is what I think.
I like your article. I heard that there was a new V-Synth XT. Looks more powerful and color LCD. Roland is really having more and more sexy Synth!
My Jupiter 8 is still my choice but.... V-Synth might be a second choice.

Supercool module! And the built-in D-50 card makes it truly awesome. But I'm sure the hefty price is gonna keep it off the hands of destitute synthomaniacs. Video Demos |
