actually aku tengah kaji arrangement untuk satu lagu ni.Lagu dia key senang je guna key Cmajor(Aminor). So,aku pun try la figure out chords dia macam C,A minor,CM7,FM7 and so on la.But bila ada satu part tu,dia guna chord E major, but dalam key tu actually guna E minor .Is this what they called "harmonic/melodic minor" or just a modulation of a keys?..aku kurang clear kat harmonic ngan melodic minor tu,and balik pada lagu tu,perlu ke kita guna scale yg "harmonic/melodic" scale atau guna natural scale je?

It's called the concept of borrow chords from the parallel mode (Major or minor)

for the key of A minor, the parrallel mode is the A Major. So you can borrow/subsitute the chords from the A Major. In your case it's borrowing the E Major as a subsitution for E minor.

Also if you think of it...the difference between E Major and E minor is just the flat 3rd... and there's some great players to purposely omit the flat 3rd(broken chords) so they have the oppurtunity to blend in different flavour scales.

Tips: The lesser notes to construct a chord it unlock more possiblities of different scales.

Harmonic/melodic minor is normally referred altering some notes from the original minor scales

These are more advance concepts of Chords & Scales theory..

When it comes to Modal playing... one song would have multiple keys and you have to huge vocab of scales and know when to use them..

Hope this helps..
