hi there ..
i just wanna share my thought with all of you about the topic above ...
just let me know what you think about the topic ...
for me the lack of something special .. what i meant is that the local mainstream bands is lacking something ... frankly i don't what exactly ..
i hope that somebody out there try to educate me about our kinda dying music scene ...
lets all of us lend a helping hand ...
be together & stay true to the music ..
later people ...

i think its very much alive.just gotta look for it in the right places.its lacking support thats what.i think any malaysian band deserves the support no matter how 'lauya'. oohh.. i think i know what you're talking about..those cheesy vids right..with lousy colour filter...the typical 'dub tak dub ttttiu~~~wiiuuuuWIuuuUUuu solo' . is that what? what to do.. everything deserves a space. they're on tv and got sales.i dont so i dunno if i can say they suck.
whats special to you zenith?why does it suck?is it because it doesnt sound like popular western music?

weih mana ada kinda kinda dying. The numbers of bands sekarang are growing in a rediculous rate! there are gigs almost every weekend! There're TV shows for Independent bands, radio shows like Red Rottw and Xfresh giving some spotlight to local emerging bands. KLUE & ROTTW promoting our local boys. Band comptetitions..penuh saja.
not to mention rancangan Mentor tunjukk ajarku sifuuu. dan lelain. 
it's aaaalliiivveeeeee... allliiiiiivveeeeeeeee

maybe he was referring to the juara lagu type of songs kot..but i think to those ppl who got into juara lagu , the scene should be alive n kickin well for them not forgetting the money they're making ... but new kinda music are creeping in nowadays cam cakap ajeep..i dunno i'm still stuck in the 80's rock melayu kapak period..go blackrose!

aiyah........ u cant survive music in malaysia.. u know why?... it is not the musician, it is the fucked up labels... promotion sux, marketing small..sponsors quite little.And we dont even have any of indie Recording Labels that will look into indie underground band. Where in canada and state EVEN SOUTH AFRICA have that kind of stuff.
hwo u gonna be big?.. oh yeah.. if u wanna be big, u have follow your goddamn manager... i feel like killing him now.. U may forced to play POP rock / or soem gay shits to earn for living....their favourite phrase to shut u up is.. " they pay u!"

hehe...kalau ada rekording company (sanggup) nak ambik aku... main dangdut reggae pun aku sanggup... sell out pun tak pe... no money is too good for me...
Seriously la, jangan mimpi sangat la nak breakthrough ke mainstream. Walau band ko main pop jiwa sekali pun. Sebab ada berapa ratus/ribu band dekat Malaysia ni, paling paling pun berapa band sangat la satu tahun yang sangkut dapat rekording kontrak. Daripada tu, berapa pulak boleh tahan sampai keluar 2-3 album. Yang penting ialah, ko main je muzik yang ko minat, death metal ke, dangdut ke, techno ke, kalau ada rezeki, boleh berjaya. Kalau tak dapat tembus ke mainstream pun, at least you are having fun doing what you do best. That is in itself, to me at least is as much success as possible for most bands. Besides ramai lagi pemuzik kita yang langsung tak dapat keluar dari bedroom diorang. Contohnye, aku... (tapi aku punya playing memang suck donkey balls la...hehehehe)

ade gak D.I.Y yg berjaya..... RESHMONU (camne ntah eja nama dia).... 1st album yg hit tu semua D.I.Y .....tapi pasal lagu dia best!!... tu yg dia naik tu...pastu biasak la... belambak lambak rec company nak amk dia..baisa la kan??..
pokoknya mas...buat lagu best best!!.... tu jer..
tapi kalau nak main mainstream la....kalau taknak takpe... mak tak marah nyeh!!....
