perhaps this may be helpful to some, I just wrote it in a simple editor, if anyone wants to redo it with a better presentation, that would be good

Glad to have been able to contribute something to this forum
I'm currently having to re-learn a lot of songs, 'cos it looks like my 4-piece band's fizzled out, anyway now it looks like I may form a simple 2-piece thing with a bassist and a drum machine, we'll play everything from Blues to Elvis (!!) and a whole pile of Retro standards....so anyway I'll have to arrange the guitar parts so the chords are as accurate to the originals as possible, and I'll be using 3 guitars (Strat, Tele and Maton acoustic) to try to get a more interesting range of sounds.
If any of you guys play these kinds of songs and want my chord charts, just let me know. Songs I've recently worked on:
"Georgia On My Mind" (Ray Charles)
"Angela" (Jose Feliciano)
"You've Got A Friend" (James Taylor)
"Alone Again, Naturally" (Gilbert O' Sullivan)
It's really sad to see the commercial-music scene locally nowadays....all using sequencers (badly sequenced!), poor singing and very poor musicianship... I'd like to try to bring back some "real" musicianship but very few people are interested. Musicians, pub-owners, the audience...all seem just interested in the sexy girls and nobody cares that there is nobody playing any instrument!
We are really at a very low point in the music industry in Malaysia. |
