There are alot of softwares for drum programming, but i highly recomment you to use....
1. Cubase (with recording)
2. Cakewalk Sonar (with recording)
3. FL Studio (sequencer)

I know how to operate the Fl studio, if you have any questions at all, i'll gladly help u out

Welcome to the world of recording!!!

Well, to be honest, each of these guys have already mentioned the most common software sequencers. All of them are great programs, most of them give you the tools to create music (drum programming, recording audio, mixing, MIDI etc).

As to which program to use, it is simply a matter of preference. Different people prefer to use different programs.

What's more important, is that once you start using the program, are you willing to spend time to learn your program of choice??? Too many people, install a program and complain that its lousy or too complicated. To be good in anything, you have to spend time and practice, practice and practice.

Personally, I am using Cubase SX 2.2 in my studio. I have been using Cubase for the past 4 years, and I dare recommend you Cubase above all other programs. Cubase can perform certain tasks that even Logic and (the vastly more expensive) ProTools can't do!!!

Lastly, happy recording and making music.

To answer your question Adam:

I first started recording and producing in my bedroom apartment. So when clients ask what should they put in their album credits, I decided that since I live on the 21st floor / 5th unit, that I'd call it 21:05 the name has kinda stuck.

Please feel free to drop by the studio anytime. Don't worry, I won't try to sell you anything Wink
