Hi there everybuddy!
I just joined and I haven't even had the time to put our music up on our page yet!
I just wanted to introduce the band and start to get to know people here!
Our music is what has been defined as Lounge Pop/Fusion and if you want a little sneak preview without going too far, you can find us here:

Anyhow, it is my intention to get some of our trax up here next week once I know what the mb limit is for free accounts.

Welcome to i-bands anonimix! Glad to have you here. Very interesting, you are an Englishman, born in Malaysia and residing in Sicily...you have lots to explain to us about yourself! Lol! I hope with you being born here will somehow give you the advantage of understanding the Malaysian-English language(or Manglish) to a certain extent, because that's the most popular lingo spoken here in the forums 
Well...do get yourself registered...upload your music (which is cool, fresh and original! I listened to it!) and hang out with us over a glass of teh tarik!

I see u are on funender.com, then u'll definitely feel at home here (since we're running the same core engine!  )
but yeah.. the space is a bit small here.. other than that.. we have a great but small.. manglish speaking community

 Hey guyz, what a great welcome! I'm sorry to say that my Manglish is BAD, real BAD! I remember so little of what little Malay I knew when I lived in KL. I should say nothing! But I will try to learn! Yeah, I notice that these boards and music hosting is very similar to Funender. What is the connection? You even have a Fundender Admin Skin!! Have any of you thought of setting up a page for yourselves at Funender? You get 50mb free there and you get into contact with artists from all over the world. The only important factor is that you are able to 'get by' with your English, but from what I am seeing here , that is not a problem! It could be another good way to promote your music and meet new artists! I was stuck on one bord for a long time and then I realised that it is important to move around and promote everywhere! You can alwayd have your 'home-boards' where you feel part of the family, bu that doesn't stop you from keeping a foot in many other places. I believe in One World, so I like to see collaboration and cooperation between people from different countries. I am sure that Modern Malaysian Music has a lot to offer to other nations!! I have already listened to some and I have been very impressed!

yeah u're right bout that. we shouldn't stay at one place. home is home for sure but.. we can't force everybody to come our house just to look at our stuffs right? need to go out.
wow Funender offers 50MB? damn that's HUGE man! compared that to i-bands... we are PUNY!
the only connection between us and Fundender is.. we're using the same core system! You can find more music community sites out there that're using what we use now and all thanks to the shutting down mp3.com.
sites are spawning everywhere offering alternates, and we managed to build one for our lovely malaysia

Yeah, I guess the death of mp3.com was a blessing in many ways!!
Please don't misunderstand me in my intentions. I am not trying to push people towards Funender, but just to keep everybuddy's horizons open! You have a great site here and I hope for you all that it grows and expands. I wish also to make a part of my 'home' here! Funender is simply another option, like Soundclick, but more 'family' more 'intimate'. In the forums there is more direct contact and communication (like here) with other artists! Clearly, the advantages of having a site where you guyz can express yourselves in your own language is also very important!! I hope one day to be able to talk to you a little in Malay if I can find the time to learn! Rock on!!

dude.. don't worry about it! I don't see any spamming going.
i-bands is a part of a big new indie sites family, and funender is like a big brother. see.. we even installed their admin skin
hope u'll find it comfy here as well Tony. Any tips and advices are definitely welcomed!

Hey amico, that's great. I didn't want to start off on the wrong foot! I notice that everything here seems to be HiFi cos I went to listen to you just now and all your trax are HiFi. This is bad news for dial-up dudes like me! But when I get into work I will try and sneak some time out for some listening!! Have the Top Men here considered putting a LoFi creator in the admin area? I don't know how complex it is but there is one at Funender which makes automatic 24kb copies of original files. It's darn good for folks like me!! OK! I have to move on. It's feels real good to be in touch with my 'roots' again. I haven't been to Malaysia for 26 years and that gives you an idea of how ancient I am!!! LOL!!!

actually dude.. I did a test run of the Lofi Creator.. the same one at funender. But the thing is..the application gave a high scale in the CPU usage (90% I was told by the server admin). So being on a rented space.. on a shared server... made us a bit restricted on rich features like that.  (another reason to go and get our own server quickly )

90% is a tad on the 'heavy' side!! I can see your point!!

 I MUST CORRECT A HUGE MISTAKE!!! Funender is offering 15mb not 50mb of free space!! Sorry for that!! 15mb is still pretty good for free and there are a couple of very well priced packages that allow you to upload far more than that at a small monthly cost.

Yeah, Funender is getting mighty big, but I still think it's incredibly important to support smaller 'local' organisations as well!!
So you joined Funender?! Do you have some LoFi trax?
