Repeat: This is <b>NOT</b> the final list!
But the songs listed below made the grade during the first listening session, in terms of sound, performance and, most important to us, a good mix of genres.
<B>Everyone who submitted songs displayed great potential! We're proud to be among such a talented bunch of young (and old) people.</b>
Please don't be disheartened if your song is not on the list as the committee will spend the next week making sure we haven't missed out any promising song. At the same time, sportingly take it as a hint that talented as you are, you need to work harder to get your music sounding right.
A few or several songs (depending on the committee's collective decision) from this list might not make it to the compilation for various reasons. But it's pointless to speculate on this at this stage.
We also haven't done a full i-bands account check on these acts, so if you're one of the shortlisted ones without an i-bands account, please create one now and upload at least one song here to qualify! Don forget to email ( ibands@gmail.com ) us a link to your page.
Please don't harass, threaten or complain to Mr. GryMlock and his Mod Squad about the non-selection of your songs as they are busy people with important day (or night & day) jobs!
We also won't be answering email queries so please refrain from flooding our Inboxes.

OK people, the good news is... all the solo artists/bands shortlisted are in! The bad news... Well, it's not really bad news, but you have to sign a release form (link will be posted within the next two days) and submit it to us by Sept. 26.
The i-bands Compilation Selection Committee congratulates all of you and thanks everyone who helped to make this a success. If everything goes as planned, the CD should hit the streets by the end of the month. And hopefully we can have an i-bands concert to launch it on Sept. 30 (keep your fingers crossed!)

OK, brothers and sisters, looks like we need a bit more time to put the compilation together as our duplication/printing contacts are busy with loads of Hari Raya releases (or so they claim!).  Also, since it's an MP3 (it's a format that's not fully endorsed by the giant record companies!) compilation, we have to look for people who do this on a small-time basis.
We don't know how long it would take; realistically speaking, it's gonna be at least another month before anything gets done.
Sorry if we had raised your expectations of an early release, but we're all busy people with loads of other responsibilites.
However, that doesn't mean you can make changes! Murid-murid yang buat rayuan nak tukar-tukar 'tu akan di tembak! The compilation stays as it is.
