To those, who still insisted on having your gigs to be continued eventhough you have permit to do so. The police will still raid your gig.
Please take this guidelines seriously, and PRINT IT OUT.
1 ARE YOU ARRESTED?
yes, only when:
Police say "YOU ARE UNDER ARREST!"
or
YOU ARE HAND-CUFFED; or
YOU CANNOT MOVE AWAY
2. ARRESTED/STOPPED BY POLICE!
What should you do:
Just say your NAME, I/C NO. AND ADDRESS
You don't have to say anything else.
The police can't make you talk.
(Always carry your ic)
3.IF YOU ARE ASKED ANY OTHER QUESTIONS:
Ask Police "AM I UNDER ARREST?"
If the police say "YES....... (then you keep quiet)
If the Police say "No..........(You can walk away)
4.AFTER ARREST, POLICE MUST TELL YOU:
Why you are ARRESTED
You DONT HAVE TO SAY ANYTHING
5.AFTER ARREST
police can ONLY keep you in LOCK-UP for 24 HOURS
6. AFTER THAT
Police MUST take you to a MAGISTRATE
TELL MAGISTRATE if you have any COMPLAINTS
(Eg: Being BEATEN UP)
Magistrate CAN ORDER for you to be LOCKED-UP for 14 DAYS at MAXIMUM
Your LAWYER SHOULD BE THERE!
7.SEARCH, CAN POLICE SEARCH YOU?
No, UNLESS YOU ARE UNDER ARREST
8. WHEN POLICE TAKE YOUR THINGS AWAY:
police must SIGN FOR IT
