I am planning to get the Laney HCM65R.... or maybe juz a HCM30...
HCM65R the price i got is only RM850.. aiiii
Wondering is a good price or not....
HCM30 is RM550....
You guys think I should settle with HCM65R or juz a Roland 30watt?
I am playing musics like Iron Maiden, Metallica and some jRock.. some pop rock musics too.....
and I will need this amp for jamming use.. so I am afraid a 30watt is not able to cover the drum... as u know drum sound is damn loud..
So need advise from you guys..

what is your budget? if under rm1000, i prefer any roland cube amp. the cube 30 is only rm1050 b4 dict. you can get it aroud rm8-900 lah. i use the 15 watt version and i love it, good enough for practice in my bedroom.
VOX is also nice, i heard lots of good things about them.
aku penah guna laney HCM, not bad, tapi yg aku guna 100 watt nyer version. utk jamming ok ar kot...
laney HCM > marshall MG |

It is in Malacca -> City Music
this price is after discount
rg_x2n,
I will use both amp for practise and jamming use
So u think with the kind of budget.. <900
Is it better to get the Roland Cube 30 or Laney HCM65R? _________________ X-Japan |

well... kalo nak jamm, x cukup ar 30 watt... maybe HCm tu suit you better kot...
but if you have extra money, like rm1700, cuba try roland cube 60, mmg btul2 baik, no hal utk jamm. saiz kecik, tapi mmg kuat.
but seriously, its hard to find an amp price under rm1000 for jamming... second hand maybe...? |

option : "HCM65R.... or maybe juz a HCM30... '
purpose : jamming and practicing
so my honest suggestion is HCM65R. _________________ Gelanggang guitar : http://guitarden.starahead.com |

Yeap...you will end up in punch-ups with the drummer if you take the 30 watter..... I think it's probably better for you to save up a little bit more money to get an MGX100 combo...although i am not one for SS amps, but this amp would suit your applications better. |

if you are gonna do alot of solos then i think its better to get HCM..
it cuts through very well thats 1 reason i like about it ..
the roland cube is for practising only.it doesn't cut.so no,it wouldn't be suitable for jamming
ever consider tech21? i heard it has some kickass solid state sound _________________ gapnap.com

One thing about Laney amp is the price is not as expensive as Roland/Marshall and still it delivers good quality of tones for its price.
gapster,
nope, I haven't heard about tech21...
Guys, is there any other good recommendation which is within my budget ... RM700-RM900
Hopefully is more than a 30-watt amp..

tu la, HCm jer la yg ok kot...
david, senang crita, kalo you btul2 hesitate, you should save some more la, and buy a peavey bandit 112 or something... and avoid marshall MG :p |

It seems Laney really got very good reviews here... I myself also kinda feel nice with the amp with the price tag on it...
Btw, how about Randall amp??? _________________ X-Japan |
