front page:
colour link html, flash & login almost the same with background
animated pics:
they're going too fast. maybe you can slow down its speed
logo on the front page:
i think its too big
other than that... i think nothing else is wrong... for now...

another thing i noticed... the white and black borders in http://ypu.com.my/gfx/layout_01.png are smooth. maybe its because the of the transparent colours in the pic.

yeah dude, the color on the logo is too striking. not what people normally do on a corporate/edu type website. it's like ..what you see on a kotak sabun pencuci baju. tapi kalau Client dah suka...maintain jek. 
the main layout however is quite neatly organized. color2 pun ok ok jugak.
portal look mmg susah nak lari dari boxy layout. pasal this type of website perlu ada flexibility utk expand. so kena limitkan jugak design tu. cannot be too radical or too extreme.
anyway, current trend banyak guna design yg main2 dgn color gradient.
i did customs malaysia's website a while back. original proposal was very different and up to the trend. but those people always wanted to change this and that and I really hate the final result. tapi mampos lah. aku pun dah sampai tahap malas nak pikir. so ikut jek ler apa diorang nak.

takde la hebat mana but banyak beza lah dari website lama diorang yg kekotak sesangat macam most gov. website.
the same thing can be done with this website. we can identify which sections are the most important and we can take it out from the typical block and highlight em as center blocks. mmg patut redesign pun ni. still look very 90s. put more content on the main page. otherwise tak perlu guna portal look.
