Hi O!
I know it's kinda hard to find the right people to join the band cos generally, there are too much metal/modern punk/guitar heroes/britpoppers in here. But here's hoping...
A Punk Rawk band plays Traditional Ska, Down-Beat Reggae, Dub, Lover's Rock, Calypso, Early radical Hip-Hop and a bit of Blues and Folk music. The lyrics are mostly political and questioned the country's policy in some ways.
The band recently get rave review in Joe Kidd's Ricecooker.
Related artists: Clash/Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, Hepcat, Dr.ALimantado, Black Flag, Mikey Dread, King Tubby, Toots & The Maytals, The Pioneers, Blitz, Public Enemy, Lee Hazelwood(in some ways),
THe Kinks, Einsturzende Neubauten, UK Subs, Angelic Upstarts and a lot more.
No fucking Gr**n Day or Bl*nk 182 shites. Only pure punk musik.
Need:
1. 2nd guitar who can put up a simple riff. Need to be creative and original. No need goreng hangus. Sound Rabak pun ok. Don't give a shit attitude.
2. Bassist with a thumping bass sounds.
The band's gonna record a self-produced EP as soon as the right man comes in.
Based in KL, PJ, Shah ALam, Damansara or wherever as long as you're still in Klang Valley (Bangi,Kajang or Rawang is mission impossible anyway! but there's always solutions to everything). If you don't have transport, we'll get over it. The band must go on. Need to get that MAXIMUM IMPACT!
