Aku rasa right on numero uno is the Strat. Leo is simply the Edison of electric guitars. I'd take any variant of the Strat, made by any company, any day of the week, over a Gibby.

Hmmm...
I cant help myself thinking that the dude who made that list is a snob when it comes to guitars. Normally i try not to judge ppl, but this dude "sends" his snob-aura all the way through the internet, if that makes any sense...  Nevertheless, he does have a few good points, despite the politically-incorrect nature of the list, hehe...
For me, i thought about maybe trying a PRS Single Cut. Lots of good reviews on that thing, good for clean & distortion, very rare quality in a guitar. Everything else is top notch...tu sumer from the reviews. Tp sbb mahal giler, susah skit la...

LP isnt in the top 10 list... what a surprise!
even LP jr. is better 
however strat>>LP anytime, it deserves its place at number one
but im still drooling over ES-335 though.... tapi harga dia sama ngan harga buah pinggang aku la plak. |

to me besides the sound
benda paling penting for me to like a guitar is the playability
especially the neck
aku start the squire strat pastu upgrade ke mexican strat
tapi bile aku dpt orville les paul, terus aku rasa the neck is just right
aku tak tau la gibson les paul punya neck cemana
aku pernah pegang sekali je pun
tapi neck orville tu adalah neck paling kene dengan tangan aku
body dia pun tak berat sgt macam aku selalu dengar org ckp les paul berat
after setahun aku abaikan strat
aku try main balik.. whoaa... feels so alien
especially high up the neck
rasa its too thin, too wide, the wood is too hard..
macam-macam 'too' la senang cite.. hehe
mungkin strat lain neck dia lagi sedap kot, aku pun tak tahu
tapi yang aku tau kita guitarist mungkin dah jumpa guitar yang paling kena dengan kita
tapi sbb nak cari 'The Guitar'
kita mungkin akan menyesal sbb lepas kan guitar yang kita ada sekarang  |

yaaaa! neck! kalau gitar gempa gila tapi pegang tak sedap tak boleh pergi jugak kan?
aku rasa orville ni exact copy of gibson so neck profile dia aku rasa sama jugak
tapi squier punya neck sgt lain dari Fender mex/am. dia agak nipis macam Ibanez. Fender Strat punya neck ada banyak jenis depending on the model, ada yang C, modern C lah, chunky V lah, U lah sampai aku pun tak keep track.
tapi aku rasa la, hanya 20% sound dtg dari gitar, yg selebihnya pickup dan amp. jadi nasihat saya pilihlah amp dan pickup yg bagus.. ok murid2, sekian saja utk harini, anda boleh keluar rehat... |

aku rasa gitar canggih or mahal camne sekali pun, main cam hampeh...hampeh ler jugak....
i'm talking about myself actually...first touched a guitar at the age of 15 kat sekolah asrama where guitar is totally banned...now berbelas tahun selepas itu, ada 50% improvement je...so sad.
yesterday i twiddled with my les paul SX which has quite a thick neck for like an hour, then bila main ibanez, rasa tak best pulak coz macam nipis...
but this ibanez has an SD pickup, so the thing that felt good was the tone coz you really can notice the difference in tone when using an aftermarket pickups.
then bila dah layan ibanez, switching back to les paul neck rasa tak best pulak...
and about pickups - The obvious part is bila pakai pickup stock on my RG, wah wah sound in MT2 distortion mode sounds muddy, tapi bila switch guitar ibanez yg ada SD pickups...same setting, the wah wah sound is a lot more refined...SD really make good stuff...so kena shopping pickup lagi pulak lah lepas ni...daymn..
so i guess the quest for the guitar is something which will differ as you mature in guitar playing...coz most ppl change and need diversification and options as they grow older...
macam layan awek jugak...kejap nak half-pakistan, kejap pan asian, kejap half-chinese-half portuguese, macam2 nak...hehe...(those were the days...hmm...but all is good)...jgn dapat jgn half-pondan or jadi gay je cukup...

tapi setakat ni mmg best

kejap nak tele la apa la
tgk frusciante nak main strat, tgk angus nak main SG.. memacam la.. last-last beli guitar je lebih.. jamming sebulan sekali je
ps: any Gibson SG fan out there?
i got one coming.. brand new
