Below is some tips I come across and like to share
:::::
Even the most accurate monitors won't sound their best of they're not set up properly. The following guidelines should ensure optimal results:
A) Place each speaker an equal distance from the side walls.
B) Ideally, the speakers should be mounted on stands away from the real walls(equal distance), or make sure your speaker have a low-frequency corrections switch if you plan on mounting them on or near a rear wall.
C) Place the speakers so they form an equilateral triangle with your listening position locatd as far from each speaker as the speakers are from each others.
D) The centre of the tweeters should be at ear level
E) Position the monitors upright unless the manufacturer state that they can be positioned on their sides.
F) If imaging seems less tha ideal. try "toeing-in" the speaker so the centre of the cones point at your ears
G) Use a calibration kit to test frequency response. If there;s a significant dip in bass response, you'll need to move the speakers to anothers position. Acoustical foam tiles and bass traps can tame excess midrange and bass frequencies
H) Crank it up and rock out.

Synthspeak For Beginners
Oscillator
The basic sound-producing heart of an analog synth.
Filter
The filter is like a giant tone or EQ control and is the single-most sonically influential control on any analog synth
Amplifier
The amplifier controls the loudness of the tones passed to it from the filter and oscillators
Envelope Generator
The envelope generator shapes the “movement” that is applied to either the filter, the amplifier or the oscillator. It’s this module that effectively shapes your sound.
and more to come....[/b] _________________ MIDI Specialist's forum is up , Lot 4.29,Low Yat Plaza, Tel:03-2143 1823. Cubase 5 is here.

Not advisable, unless you want to skew your perception of balance. During mixing, its alwasy best to monitor and moderate levels. Loud is impressive, but at the cost of accuracy and hearing loss. _________________ [Record Producer/Mixer/Recording Engineer]

Peningnya kepala buat reseach pasal monitor speaker
Tak tau antara Roland DS Series, KRK Rokit Series, atau ESI nEar 05 eXperience
Akhir sekali respect kat ESI sebab memberi keyakinan yang dia orang punya budget monitor memang bagus
Lepas tengok gambar producer/artist jepun pakai kat studio
Rasa macam terus minat dekat ESI
Tak macam company lain, tak buat pendekatan macam ni
Pendedahan macam ni bagi keyakinan kat pengguna utk beli
Lagi tengok orang yang pro guna kat studio
Tapi tengok kat gambar ni tak de music equipment pun
Semua mixer je
Pelik gak
Mungkin dia orang mastering music kot
Atau mungkin stesyen radio kot
Entah la, aku pun tak faham bahasa jepun

aku mula2 tak pedulik langsung pasal monitor speaker ni. aku ada teori angkuh aku pasal speaker2 ni... tapi..lepas terdengar lagu sendiri yg mixing pakai Altec Lansing kuor kat TV bunyi macam haramjadah. bunyi drum rimshot dah macam bunyik ketuk tiang lampu! aku terus sambor natang nih.. so far.. aku agak puas hati lah. aku beli 04 dulu... but tak bagus untuk buat mix. 05 ni ok. at least mix aku kat speaker2 lain tak lari jauh sangat.
good luck! _________________ [ Kluk Kluk Adventure ] | [ Call the Paramedics ] | [ Dot ] | [ AJEEPEK ] |

teori aku, off kan semua special fx hi-fi ni (contoh : super bass, etc)
kekonon boleh buat flat la
sekali tak boleh
sekarang menyesal tak sudah la pulak
kena tunggu lama lagi baru boleh beli monitor speaker
tak pun jual je hi-fi ni kat lelong, ebay, atau cash converter
aku berada di dalam persimpangan |

yes bro okta
baru je buat tadi round KL sensorang
tapi sayang tak tau kat mana nak test roland ds series
tadi test krk, rokit rp 5, bunyi high kuat, bass macam kurang
rokit rp 6 memang tak bawa masuk malaysia, adoi
esi near 05 experience lak over all
bunyi tinggi dan rendah dengar
part bass yang penting sekali
ni cuma pandangan peribadi aku yang beginner
kalau tang budget lak
esi near 05 experience yang paling mampu dimiliki + berkualiti (for me)
nak pergi roland ap kat pj lak tak tau jalan
dah la berjalan naik bas
sesat satu hal lagi lak
kalau pergi, sekali tengok tak de, lagi kecewa
kalau nak pergi roland ap kena inform dia dulu la kot
buat masa sekarang kena ikut jalan macam bro okta dulu
monitor guna speaker ape yang ade
thank you for sharing as always okta |

perhaps MIDI specialist should sell acoustic kits as well. dont get realtraps or auralex, make your own so many people can afford it.
p/s.. monitoring (even nearfields) without acoustic treatments? i'd rather use headphones. |
