I need help here.
Can someone suggest me cleaning fluid to polish plated metal surface on a guitar (pickup covers, tuners) without damaging them?

i use autosol on the tuner heads for my acoustic.
havent used it on my electrics cause 1 has black hardware and the the other is an SX strat, so im letting the tuner heads age....hehe...biar die jadi kelabu... 
autosol might be considred damaging
the head stock is not solid paint, just some wood stain kinda paint, brown color'd headstock
kinda like how some oviation, takamine. taylors look.
paint on the headstock around the tuners is visibly in a diffrent tone since coming in contact wit autosol...
kinda how a frequently used black mouse or keyboard looks. keys yg slalu kena tekan berkilat sket compared to the keys that kire x banyak tekan.
thats how it looks. the part yg kena autosol has a diffrent tone to it
not sure if it will damage solid paint.

what if pickup is already berkarat?
is it possible to make the rust issapear?...have used autosol but to no avail... |

ntah...x pernah try kat pikap.
dont really have karat problems kat pikap.
well the machine heads kat acoustic to bkn sampai karat,
just brg chrome dah jadi kelabu + those greeny dot thingy

maksud aku damaging tu
not on the head stock punya wood
tapi on the metal itself
especially gold hardware la
we all know gold hardware senang tanggal dia nya gold plate tu
aku nak polish tapi tak mau mempercepatkan process penanggalan tu la
apsal pelik sgt bahasa aku ni.. hehe |
